On September 1998, Dieu Du Ciel! finally opens its doors, with more than 300 people in attendance. Today, Dieu Du Ciel! is engaged more than ever in the local community as the demand for its products continues to rise both at home and abroad.
In 2015, the microbrewery in St-Jerome increased capacity from 9000 to 13000 hectoliters annually, in an effort to better satisfy a growing band of faithful converts.

Hazy orange colour and small white head. Piney, tropical fruity nose. Medium-bodied. Pale malts, pine, some fruityness. Good stuff but shows some age.

On tap at Stillwell Freehouse. Poura hazy light gold with an off-white head. Bright floral hops, coriander, and light caramel on the nose. Flavour has a floral and allium hop character along with the sweetness and coriander of the estery Belgian yeast. Fairly heavy, almost catching the back of the palate with the ABV. Interesting idea, a bit of an odd combo, but well executed.

Now under Rigor Blonde, in cans - pouring a slight haze, mid-golden colour with a slim amber hue. The head is frothy-bubbly, white with decent stay and lots of sticky, foamy lacing. A beautiful, fresh herbal nose with a Pilsner spicy touch and light Belgian yeast. The taste shows some nice grassiness, hoppiness, blended with herbal snap, some mild cereal malt base and a tad Belgian yeast spiciness. Kind of a really nice mix of Italian Pilsner and light Belgian ale. Or a good milder Triple IPA Nouveau Monde.

Les esters rappellent moins les agrumes que la banane.
Mousse épaisse, rocailleuse et tenace.
Liquide doré, très effervescent et presque limpide.
Entrée de bouche fortement épicée qui se propage jusqu’en finale et s’associe à une amertume terreuse pour propulser une finale extrêmement sèche.
Les malts sont miellés et les esters rappellent un peu l’orange ainsi que la banane.
Les épices sont dominantes, bien poivrées.
L’amertume est également profonde avec ses longs accents herbacés, épicés et terreux.
Très amère cette blonde Belge.
On garde le cap sur la levure mais l’amertume est solidement dominante.

Draft: Poured a pitch-black stout with a medium size brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee notes with some nice rum notes. Taste is also a mix of strong coffee notes with some black chocolate notes offset by some rum notes and a dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable coffee stout with nice added complexity from the rhum.
