Das zweite urige bayrische Urbier ist dieser Doppelbock, der aber gar nicht so schlimm ist. Es ist schön intensiv fruchtig mit starken Karamell-Noten und dabei aber noch halbwegs süffig rüberkommt. Nicht nur für Bockbierfanatiker, sondern auch Leute die gemütliche Aromenspiele suchen.

Clear amber colour, white foam. Bready, malty, sweet caramel, typical Fassla character. Good.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear pale straw yellow with a thick, dense white head. The aroma is sweet, doughy white bread, sponge cake, rich tea biscuit, grain and grass. The taste is crispy, dry upfront, snappy, bitter - sweet character, doughy white bread, biscuit, sponge cake, grassy, herbal accents, touch of spice and straw with a drying, grassy finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Rounded and moreish.

Light brown colour with lasting head. It's a sweet beer but very light in flavour. Malty. A bit watery.

Helle Farbe, schöne Trübung. Säuerlich, fruchtig-herb (insbesondere grüner und roter Apfel), die Hefe spielt geschmacklich auch eine große Rolle. Ein Hauch von Sekt, Cidre und Molke fliegt vorbei. Kohlensäure in der oberen Hälfte. Recht erfrischend. Gut.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a slightly hazy light golden colour with a large throthy white head. Aromas of grains, hay, doughy bread, floral hops and honey. Taste is again floral with citrus notes, more doughy white bread, a touch more honey and some nice fresh grassy hops on the finish. Lovely balance between sweet and bitter. Thin to medium body, average carbonation and slightly oily mouthfeel. Fresh and tasty. Nice surprise it’s a very good beer.

Bottle online from The Hop Vault, Stourbridge. Pours clear gold colour with a decent white cap. Aroma: bread, lemon, herbal. Taste: light sweet & bitter, loads of bready character, some lemon too, spicy hop on the finish. Light to medium body with foamy carbonation. It tasted glorious, although not many rating it that highly on here.
