Description
Eik & Tid (Oak & Time) is a farmhouse beer inspired brewery in Oslo, Norway dedicated to making sour and wild beer the nordic way.

Our entire brew setup is customized to fit the raw beer brewing process. By modifying surplus dairy tanks from Norwegian farms, we where able to get what we needed at an affordable cost. We also like the added bonus of upcycling derelict equipment instead of getting new made and shipped half across the globe.

Bottle. An unclear candy-ish red beer with a pinkish head of moderate size. The aroma has a touch of vinegar, with some berry, raspberry or blueberry perhaps, a generic fruity touch and some lemon notes. It’s sour, tart and medium bodied, with a decent carbonation. Berries, sourness, lemon hints and a good dash of vinegar in the flavor. Lasting sour, berry-ish finish. A decent one, but a bit vinegarish and straight forward. 221126

330 ml clear bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 6.6%. Murky red colour, shortlived pink head. Aroma of lactic acid, fruityoghurt and blueberries. Sour flavour, lemons and lactic acid galore, also blueberries, just a hint of aquavit spices. Like most beers from this brewery, it is really too sour for me, but at least this one is not undrinkable.

330 ml clear bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 7.2%. Reddish brown colour, large to moderate off-white head. Aroma of vinegar, lactic acid, sour berries, lemons and caraway. Very acidic flavour, lactic acid and vinegar galore, also lemons, berries and caraway. The extreme acidity makes it undrinkable for me.

Tap at Valhalla Beer Club Prague. Murky dark red-amber body, off-white head. Earthy tart berry-beet aroma. Tart, earthy berry/beety taste, yeasty. Literally my least favorite profile of blackcurrant in this one. Not badly made, just... nah, not for me.

9-3-8-4-16 Bottle, #020221, 4,5 years before bbd. Pours translucent brown, with almost no head. Aroma is acetic fruity notes of berries, dark fruits, almonds and coffee, as well as oxidized notes, tannins and wooden barrels. Medium body, with no carbonation. Flavour is acetic notes of balsamic vinegar, dark fruity notes with raisins, cherries and dark berries, as well as tannins and wooden barrels. Brilliant, and very drinkable considering what it is.
