Description
Labatt has deep roots in Canada stemming from its founder John Kinder. In 1847, a little more than a decade after arriving in London, Ontario from Ireland, John Kinder Labatt purchased London's Simcoe Street brewery in partnership with Samuel Eccles and by 1855 had become the brewery's sole proprietor. The brewery was later renamed John Labatt's Brewery, marking the beginning of one of Canada's largest and most successful companies.
In 1995, it was purchased by Belgian brewer Interbrew. Labatt is now part of the new company, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev).

24 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 7/26/2017. Pours crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light biscuit/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. A bit fruity aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale malt/corn and mild earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light biscuit/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, corn, white bread dough, light biscuit/pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness of pale malt/corn and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium-high carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, fairly bready/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is okay. Really watery feel, but not bland on flavors. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4%. Overall this is a very solid light lager. All around good robustness of pale malt/corn and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Clean malt/corn flavors and mild earthy hop balance. Solid barley presence, not too heavy on the adjuncts. A nicely enjoyable offering for the style.

341ml bottle. Pours a clear gold with a small, fizzy, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of grain and apple juice. Sweet flavour of apple, pear and light grain. Light body with a thin, watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Not great. If I didn't know better I'd swear this was carbonated apple juice.

Clear bottle, hah, thot I did this already, seems everybody into the shandy thang, just like IPA, HAHAH. Every fricken craft beer got to be a shandy or an IPA today, forget about the lager, heheheheh. I picked this bullshit up at a local PA beer distributor for $1 in the clearance bin. PA LCB has come a long long way thank you. Looks cloudy pale, like grapefruit juice and it smells just like graperfurit juice. So, if is smells like dogshit and looks like dogshit, what is it? Well, it does taste like grapefruit juice and it smells like grapefruit juice and there is the smell of grapefruit juice, but on the palate there is this odd notion of beer in there as well, WTF? A tik it is, just like on UT!! Not bad for a beer experience overall.
