Description
Labatt has deep roots in Canada stemming from its founder John Kinder. In 1847, a little more than a decade after arriving in London, Ontario from Ireland, John Kinder Labatt purchased London's Simcoe Street brewery in partnership with Samuel Eccles and by 1855 had become the brewery's sole proprietor. The brewery was later renamed John Labatt's Brewery, marking the beginning of one of Canada's largest and most successful companies.
In 1995, it was purchased by Belgian brewer Interbrew. Labatt is now part of the new company, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev).

Pours dark dark brown with a light tan head. Taste is of roasted grain and light hop bitterness. Not as sweet as the others.

From a 12 oz balack can. Ubiquitous pale yellow but a decent creamy thin head. Fairly clean aroma, reminds me a bit of the niagara river and a litttle soap. Does have a tad of that cheap ice beer flavor but much less than I expected. You can only tell its there after you swallow. Surpisingly good lacing on the side of my glass, like the see thru lingere of yer favorite girlfriend. Towards the end it is a bit difficult but yet does not leave its manners behind. Comes across more like a heavy lager with a bit more alky rather than a cheap ice beer. Finish is a somewhat coarse but remains gentlemanlike thru the session.

Decent taste and aroma. A little hop bittterness in there but mostly well mannered and fresh. Enjoyable good crisp feel. Finish is acceptable for the most part. Good session brew and it goes down fairly easy. Overall, enjoyable and refreshing.

bouteille 341ml.

11.5 oz bottle from a grocery store whose identity is totally irrelevant. Pale yellow pour with a one finger that disappears quickly. Very grassy aroma with some corny sweetness. Taste is grain, corn, very, very subtle hop bitterness. A sentimental favorite, but not really that good.

Draught at Heathrow airport lounge
Blond color. It tastes like a juice of straws, no aroma (besides some stinking stuff), too bitter, dry finish. Very bad.

500th rating!!!!!.....12 oz bottle, thanks Matt7215....Straw color, off-white thin head....smells like a cheap ordinary beer....light---surprisingly not bad...east to drink--simple and non-offensive---a slight sweetness with the low grade ingredients--I don’t’ dislike it......12 oz can thanks Robinvboyer...this was bonged....and not as good as the bottle...had a more bleh aftertaste....this was acquired as a birthday gift, and a trip down memory lane....Used to drink this back in 1995, when it was still brewed in Cali, and had the puzzles under the cap....sadly no more puzzles but Happy 31st B-Day Frank!!!!!!
