Description
Labatt has deep roots in Canada stemming from its founder John Kinder. In 1847, a little more than a decade after arriving in London, Ontario from Ireland, John Kinder Labatt purchased London's Simcoe Street brewery in partnership with Samuel Eccles and by 1855 had become the brewery's sole proprietor. The brewery was later renamed John Labatt's Brewery, marking the beginning of one of Canada's largest and most successful companies.
In 1995, it was purchased by Belgian brewer Interbrew. Labatt is now part of the new company, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev).

OK, got this from the clearance rack for just about nothing, less than fittysent. I'm going to drink this right of the can and again, so I have no idea of what it looks like. I'm also going to assume its just clear gold pale yellow like everybody else. It actually tastes like any other flavored seltzer except, just perhaps, I can taste a little beer hiding in the background. How unique? BEER? No way. There is some beer in here? NO WAY? Yes, its just another beer claiming to be, a brew that borders on seltzer. To say there is beer in here just makes it almost rate-able on the RB website. Not really a beer, flavored seltzer water, but at least its not bad. Very good co2 level up to the last drop.

Brown 340ml bottle. Was this beer as shitty as I remembered from all those years ago? Not seen or tried it since drinking it in 'Happy Valley-Goose Bay' mid-90's. Well, yes, it's still shit.

On-tap: Poured a clear pale yellow color alegr with a medium size white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of light cerla notes with some finat residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of clen cereal notes with finat residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Nothing to write home about but drinks well during a hot summer day on a patio.

Bottle at Coles. Pours golden with small white head. The aroma is corn malt and cracker. Medium body, corn, straw, cracker, light metallic finish, decent.

Pours a clean golden colour with an orange hue. The head is pretty big, almost creamy, warm-white with good retention, leaving some nice creamy lacing. I do not see much carbonation though. Spicy pils-like aromas at first pour, with some sweet malts, to then show some cereal grain base. The barley shows up in the taste with the sweetness being just alright, with mild hops that cut this off to a fine point. Not a bad Golden Lager that is probably way better cold, but could do a few.
