Cask at PoW Farnborough Beer Fest lunchtime drive-by. Aroma is light and malty - some sugary sweetness, some boiled veg. Clear light chestnut. Thick frothy off-white head. Initially quite sour - berries. Followed by sugar water sweetness. Underlying malts. Sourness lasts throughout. Light-medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. More character than I was expecting. Not bad.

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2022. A almost clear golden orange coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is lovely big Nelson sauvin hop, green berries, tarmac, Base malts, plastic hockey puck. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, biscuit malts, spicy green hop, Nelson sauvin, white grape, green berries. Palate is semi crisp, drying finish, good cask condition.

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2022. A clear orange amber coloured pour with a lasting loose greyish head. Aroma is nice rustic grains, wet grass, hedgerow, green hop. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, biscuit, hint of toffee, wet grass, sileage. Palate is semi sweet, good cask condition mellow. Characterful gold.

Cask at Watford beer festival 2022. A clear mid orange coloured pour with a lasting loose off white head. Aroma is nice rustic bready grains, orange rind, woody hop, pine, grass. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty earthy grains, grass, hedgerow hop, light mineral. Palate is semi sweet, mineral, little thin, decent cask condition. Solid.

16/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear straw gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, mango, lemon, lemongrass, grass. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with light tartness. Moderate body, oily and watery, soft carbonation. Quite decent.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A pale straw coloured pour with a tight white head; citrus aroma; crisp citrus taste; and a bitter grapefruit finish. A refreshing summer ale.
