Tap at CBM Koenji. Ruby red grapefruit, pink lemonade nose with some light bubblegum. Very alcopop-like more so than beer. Sweet on the palate, but the carbonation is refreshing. It’s not beer, but fun I guess.

Tap at Craft Heads. Clear deep gold with a finger of white foam that lingers thoughout. Light wheat notes with grassy hops and hints of orange and pine. Medium body with average carbonation. A little boozy when it warms, but still a very good beer from Johana. Fairly well-balanced and bitter finish.

Tap at CBM Koenji. Teal blue color with a sky blue fizzy head. Nose has a hint of lemon and ramune. Taste is all ramune. Ramune beer. Move along nothing else to see here. --- Beer merged from original tick of Grand Blue on 01 Aug 2015 at 15:42 - Score: 3

On tap in Toyama. This wheat IPA pours a copper gold with a nice wheaty hoppy nose. Tropical fruits in the flavor and bouquet from the hops, chewy wheat and a bitting bitterness. Good stuff.

Kuromaki Porter on tap at the Tanabata fest - a fest exclusive according to the list. It pours a deep brown with a thick tan head. The nose is roasty and surprisingly hoppy with a green pine aroma. Medium-full bodied. The taste is a bit of acrid black patent malt, roasty & piney hops. Quite good actually but verging into black IPA territory.

On tap at CBM Koenji. Deep cloudy reddish orange color with a slightly pink soapy head that lingers. Smell is all blood orange with a bit of sweet mikan and orangina. Lively, soda-like carbonation with with a slighly syrupy mouthfeel. Taste is fruit forward with definite soda-like sweetness. A dry finish makes it quite refreshing although far from beer-like. Almost like if Orangina made a blood orange version. It is what it is and I can’t hate it. Quite refreshing. --- Beer merged from original tick of Blood Orange on 05 Jun 2015 at 23:13 - Score: 6

Tap. Wheat, citrus nose, a bit of tropical fruit. Solid body, great fruit, proper bitterness. A nicely done beer.

On tap at CBM Koenji. Cloudy gold color with a medium sized white head. Big aromas of earl grey, lemon and sugar on the nose. Taste is more of the same with the sugar really standing out as it warms up. The lemon as well starts to take over and it becomes a bit like a sugared up lemonade. Not much of beer quality. Sticky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Too cloying for me. Not my cup of...tea. --- Beer merged from original tick of Earl Grey on 05 Jun 2015 at 23:12 - Score: 5

Cloudy golden color with a syrupy nose of apples and peaches. Medium to full body with lots of apples and peaches on top of toasted malts. Nice toasted malt finish. Not really an IPA, but ok.
