Clear golden coloured body with a very thin white head, only about a centimetre tall, but pure white. Aroma of rice, alcohol, malt and not much else - fairly mild. Light-bodied; Strong rice and light grain flavours with hints of lemons and alcohol, but very light and showing no assertive aftertaste or funk at all. Aftertaste shows only a handful of rice and lemon characteristics with nothing else bad. Overall, a surprisingly decent lager with some lighter notes for beating this heat and some subdued lemon flavours for the refreshing qualities. I sampled this 33 cL can purchased from City’Super! in Harbour City, Kowloon, Hong Kong on 04-July-2014 for HK$15,00 sampled a bit later in my hotel room here in Wan Chai, Hong Kong on 04-July-2014.

33 cl can in Hong Kong. Light gold color, clear, with a nice lingering white head. Malty nose. Aroma is pretty malty, with grains and bread, somewhat doughy. Taste is sweetish but balanced, body is light to medium and finish somwhat sticky and sour. Tasty lager, nonetheless.

35 cl can. As above, texture is a bit dusty, dry finish.

An Orion & Asahi collaboration (not too hard as Orion is owned by Asahi), 5.5% served in a footed pilsner glass. It pours a deep gold with a thick foamy white head that leaves some soapy looking lacing behind. The nose is a bit earthy & malty with some sugary macro-lager sweetness. The taste is a bit rough, sweet, malty herbal green hop finish - it comes across more as hop extract than real hops. I agree regarding pepper and lemon notes. The body is slick but finishes with a watery feeling in your mouth. Not that bad but one was enough for me.

przyjemny, dość rześki zapach - słodkie owoce, zioła i lekkie cytrusy. kolor złoty, przejrzysty, piana nawet niezła. w smaku pełne, słodowe z wyczuwalną, wyraźną, ale dość niską goryczką. bardzo lekki posmak kartonu. do tej pory zdecydowanie najlepsze piwo z oriona jakie piłem.

Can. Sweet malty flavor, bread, lemony hops, grass. Decent bitter finish, peppery hops linger on. Darn well hopped for a pale lager. Crisp and drinkable, summery. A bit gassy and the grains are a bit harsh, but otherwise better than expected.

Can from the local Lawson. Served in a pilsner glass. A clear deep gold with a thick fizzy/fluffy head. Big yeasty/grainy aroma with grassy notes. Slick oily medium bodied, sugary sweet grainy flavor with very light spicy hop notes in the finish. Ok but fairly average.

0,35 ml can. Pours with a large white head that is gone after a few seconds. This beer is very clear, definitely filtered. Not much carbonation. Aroma is faint cookies, with some sweet undertones - probably coming from rice and cornstarch. I can already guess that this is going to be quite watery. Taste is not usual Japanese macro that I actually expected but somewhat milder and softer, with some malt (or rice) sweetness dominating in the aftertaste. Aftertaste itself is pretty short, nothing really special. Drinkable but not too good, I guess it would be nice to have it on a hot beach.
