Bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Murky gold. Some suds of white. Nose has fusty malts, and fusty hop. Some notes of grapefruit in there. Taste is fusty and papery. Flat, dull mouthfeel. Condition is way off. Why brewers go to huge lengths to produce quality beer, and then don’t put the cap on the bottle properly (that’s me guessing), is beyond me.

330ml bottle from Turners, Sheffield - Misty ruby red body, off white head. Nose of cinnamon, nutmeg, the festive theme well to the front. Taste is spicy yet sweet, with a well rounded robust mouthfeel. A bit of a prickle from the carbonation, a nice winter warmer.

330ml bottle from Turners London Road - Read Garrold’s review, had a mop ready. Used it. After the expected gusher was left with about half a bottle, hazy gold with a massive head. Nose of coriander, sweet oranges, with a bit of spiciness. Very refreshing and good fun. Wish I’d had more mind you.

330ml bottle from Turners, London Road - A nice black pour with a lacy off white head. The nose is fruit, malt, coffee, and more sour citrus fruits. A bitter first bite, typical IPA, then malt and a bit of caramel. Decent effort.

Bottle. Beeches of Walkley, Sheffield. Dark, chestnut brown. Thin, dense, lasting, tan head. Aroma of soft, sweet smoke. Some nutty, fudgy chocolate. Notes of vine fruit. Taste is soft sweet. Light smoke. Has some tangy vine fruits. Smooth mouthfeel. Good depth. Slightly tangy, vinous, smoky finish. Comes together really well. Another very good beer from this brewer.

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Very dark red. Soft haze. Thin, messy, sticky tan head. Yep. It’s like a mince pie. Fruit. Cinammon. Nutmeg. Mixed spice. Taste is soft sweet. Some fruity spice. Way too fizzy, and therefore feels thin. Finishes fruity, spicy bitter, with a light, integral sweetness. Not my cup of tea.

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. MASSIVE GUSHER! One mop up operation later, and there’s a couple of mouthfuls in the glass. Cloudy (who’d have thought it?) amber colour. Huge (who’d have thought it?) creamy white head. Aroma is fairly spicy. Notes of ginger. Clove. Anise. Big saison yeast. Granary malts. Brown sugar. Smells great. Taste is grainy sweet, with a spicy bitterness, that builds. Rich, soft mouthfeel. Finishes long, spicy bitter, with a soft stickiness on the lips. Very nice. Pity that most of it went all over the kitchen!

Bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, reddy brown. Thin, messy, sticky, pale tan head. Looks good. Nose has roast malt. Coffee grinds. Orange juice hop. Hint of dark berry fruit. Taste is nicely balanced bitter sweet. Soft, creamy, but full palate. Bitterness intensifies on the finish. This is all about the bittering hops, which makes for a hugely tasty beer. More of a resinous punch on the nose, and this would be a stunner. As it is, this is super drinkable.

Bottle. Beeches of Walkley, Sheffield. Orange amber, with a soft haze. Bubbly, off white head, that dissipates quickly. Sweet, bready, fruity, spicy malts. Bit of a fruit cake mix thing going on. Candied orange peel. Some banana esters. This smells great. Taste is fruity, estery sweet. Turns light dry. Soft, massaging mouthfeel. Hint of booze. Finishes light, fruity dry. Some sweetness in the lips lingering. Very nice. A tad sweet overall, but this is super tasty, and drinkable.

Bottle. Beeches of Walkley, Sheffield. Burnished copper colour, with a light haze. Tidy, sticky, lasting, off white head. Looks good. The rye and the Simcoe work well here. Light, skunky hop and plenty of spicy orange. Some vinous tang. Taste is soft bitter. Hint of dryness. Hint of sweet on the lips. Decent body, with a foamy mouthfeel. Finishes short, spicy bitter. Some dryness right on the close. Nice one. My first from this brewer. I’ll look forward to more.
