On tap at Royal Albert, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is bizarre, with hot red wine notes, Christmas spices, and roasted malt. Flavour is very well-balanced, with lots of red wine barrels upfront, followed by a touch of Christmas spiciness and light roast. Overwhelmed by the red wine and to a lesser degree, the spices. Nice attempt for sure.

On tap at Royal Albert, pours a cloudy dark orange amber with a small white head. Aroma is very malty for a big IIPA, with lots of dry caramel malt, bready notes and resinous hops. Flavour is extremely abrasive, with harsh resinous hops and caramel malt in poor combination. Works okay overall, but it's very difficult to drink. Okay.
