Not a lot going on here. Some straw and light citrus aromas, with a slightly stronger citrus not when tasted. Perfectly fine.

It's got a nice hoppy bite to it. Aromas of grapefruit and biscuit. More grapefruit, grass and biscuit in the mouth. About as good as a session ale gets.

A very big double with its alcohol showing. Aromas of pine and a little nail polish remover. Alcohol, bread and pine in the mouth. A bit agricultural.

As described on the label. Smooth, rich porter with notes of chocolate, coffee and chicory. Some restrained citrusy hops with just a hint of stonefruit when tasted. This one just coats the roof of your mouth with syrupy goodness. Delicious

From a 500m l can on 3/4/2022. Pours a slightly hazy deep golden with a smallish head. Has a citrus/tropical nose with a bit of booze. Tastes sweet with orange and apricot, finishing with a lightly spicy citric bitterness, with a bit of warming booze at the back. The mouthfeel is syrupy, the carbonation moderate to average. A simple but enjoyable big hazy.

Can, Gordon's The Cellar Door. No date, but perhaps there was one and someone rubbed it off. Unclear reddish amber with a white head. Aroma has berry sherbet, lemon drops, crackers. Light bodied, high carbonation. Can't say the berry flavour is clear but there's vague fruit and a dry, moderately bitter finish. Just a little peppery too. Refreshing - is it a little minerally or is that just the power of suggestion?

Pint on tap at Welder's Dog, Armidale. Looks like amber creek water, must be a NEIPA! No head, slight fruit nose. Light body, very easy to drink. Bitter finish where the peach makes itself apparent. Nice beer, not too complex, tasty.

Tap at the Catfish, Melbourne. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is grainy malt, grassy, light tropical citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, malt, light fruity, dry woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Big can. Amber. Big pine and grapefruit nose. Lovely old school very hop forward west coaster. But with hefty almost caramel malts bring some sweetness and backbone. Might be best Aussie DIPA of the year thus far.
