Clear dark brown to black beer, small aery irregular off-white to grey head, big bubbles, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lovely, very intense, maple syrup, vanilla, chocolate, oxidized, soy sauce, coconut, earthy. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: good roast up front, cocoa powder, a bit sourish, sweet touch, vanilla, sugary, earthy, nice! Aftertaste: dry, alcohol, oxidized, vanilla, some chocolate, good stuff, sugary, caramel, more vanilla, sweet, maple syrup, complex finish, lovely beer! Great ending of the night, except we weren’t done yet. :p

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour with not much head. Aroma is blueberries, some roasted malts, mild chocolate and actually some raspberries too. Flavour is blueberries, vanilla, some toasted malts, toffee, mild vanilla as well as some slight tones of alcohol. Rather thick as for the palate.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small head. Aroma is chocolate, some toasted bread and some sweet malty tones. Flavour is liquorice, some toffee, alcohol, quite evident bitterness along with quite strong dry wooden elements. A bit too much hops in an IS for me...

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, not much head. Aroma is chocolate, some burnt wood, liquorice, some alcohol with chocolate and some mild toasted bread. Flavour is alcohol, liquorice, toffee and some toasted malts, a bit ashes and some toaste rye bready elements.

Can listed at 12%. Black with a tall, light brown head that turns creamy. Pancake house aroma. Fudge. Taste is mildly bitter up front, sweet at the back with a bit of lingering maple syrup. Full-bodied, thick and chewy stuff. Balanced carbonation. Incredibly boozy though and quite warming at the finish. Good, but not great.

Can split at Level 6 Tasting, picked up from CPH airport Mikkeller bar IIRC, 02/03/23. Black with a thin tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, spice, charr. Taste comprises bitter sweet tones, dark malts, toffee, cocoa powder, fruit cake mix, touch of coffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Tidy enough impy stout.
