Can, smallish head, opaque pitch brown colour, lots of wood in aroma with some bourbon, cake, chocolate and coffee, flavor of chocolate, wood and a bit of cinnamon and vanilla, lots of alcohol but blending nicely, quite sweet. Really nice and enjoyable.

Old 355mL can, undated, circa 2021 most likely. Drunk 2/2/24. Clear, dark. Small tan ring of persistent bubbles. Alcohol and oxidation with syrupy caramel and dark roasted coffee. Hint of vanilla. Flaked oat seems to maybe soften things a bit. Wow sugar. Just a mouthful of brown sugar, vanilla, honey, caramel and dark roast coffee. Some bitterness from alcohol on the finish (and coffee of course). Even at 11% and the coffee being in relatively good shape, this one still seems old and tired. That said, this must have been an onslaught of sugar, booze and coffee when young.

Dark brown, no head. The aroma is fantastic, rich dark malts, molasses, chocolate, just massive hazelnuts. On the palate, big and balanced. Rich, leaning towards sweet but with underlying bitterness. Again, vanilla and intense hazelnuts. Lots of chocolate, light coffee roastiness.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is elegant, with roasted hazelnuts, moderate coffee character, and bourbon barrels. Flavour is extremely rich, with intense coffee, big bourbon barrels, gentle toasted hazelnuts, dark sugars, and alcohol. Jeez -- so well-integrated. Massive body but not close to brutal. Just a very big, complex, wonderfully constructed BA impie. Makes me sad that these guys are no more. Beauty.

0.473 l can thanks to Pilot Goran who brought it from Denmark as a present to Black Suba and Ade McSquid and thanks to Višnja 666 for making them share it with us. Oily jet black, minimal head. Aroma is molasses, syrup, raisins. Chocolate. Full body, sweet, syrupy, nice roasty and chocolate profile. Smooth, warming, but also alcoholic. A bit too strong, not unpleasant.
