Straight From the Land to Your Glass

Brian and Jenn Cook created Kingdom Brewing with the intent to brew authentic craft beers from a wide variety of locally produced ingredients. Starting with American grown grains, they combine farm chemistry and heirloom recipes with ingredients from their farm & greenhouse such as maple sap, spruce tips and berries to create a variety of light to robust seasonal beers.

Brewery draught, 8/1/25.
Clear? Dark. Small, light tan head.
Light pepper, clean cocoa and light vanilla. Crunchy dark malt and little lactose.
Lots of adjunct with prominent pepper and a crusty, very dry, lighter body. Not given over to lactose and very little sugar. Hard to get a feel for this brewery based in this beer, though encouraging that the adjuncts are real/tasteful, lactose is low, and it's dry.

32oz crowler from Bear Naked, pours a ruby red with some cloudy, white head. Nose has malt, fall fruits, yeast, blood orange. Flavor has malt, orange, cracker, some berry. Finishes dry.

Tenth tasting at the brewery. Deep amber colour with a light-beige head that creates thin creamy lacing. Fruity aromas of red ales with apples and other fruits. Hints of bananas and spices. The apples show up even more in the taste where the pie comes out a little more. Hoppier for the style, but a little less then most of their beers here. Not too sweet, not syrupy, so goes down nicely.

Ninth tasting at the brewery. Very slight hazed light golden-amber colour with a white small cap and some decent creamy-wavy lace around the base. The taste is nutty, yeasty with some apples and mild bitterness in the finish. The smell has the nuttiness with a farm-like note. A nutty, kind of yeasty red ale with more hops than usual.

Eight tasting at the brewery. Pours a dark brown colour, but does not look too thick. A small white cap with dirty lacing. Aromas and taste are mild with chocolate malts, roasted ones and hints of fruits. Light sourness in the finish. Decent for a not-too-heavy stout. I can start smelling nuts after a while - there they are !

Seventh tasting from brewery. Dark brown colour with a small beige coloured head and not much retention, lacing. Sweet nose of maple, chocolate over the roasted malts. Hints of nuts. The taste is not as sweet, but present. Just really smooth with roasted malts and the lactose. Nothing too crazy but an easy-drinking one.

Well, well, well. Sixth tasting from brewery and they decided to tap this one early :P. Smells like pot with the skunkiness. Kind of like a overpowering Stella gone strong. The taste is like pilsner at first and with honey coming later. The blond grain lingers. Slightly hazy light-golden colour with some good wavy, thin creamy lacing. So, a nice blonde ale with hints of sweetness... and skunk.

Fifth tasting at the brewery. Oh wow! Remind me of the Second Cup Raspberry-chocolate coffee I use to buy. Smelling loads of chocolate and not espresso. The raspberries are mild in the background. Lightly hazy golden-amber with a nice creamy ring. The fruits are more upfront in the taste with the IPA kicking in the finish with again, bitterness and dryness. Not finding the lactose to get that Milkshake thing, but might be part of the joke. Just seems like a decent IPA with hints of raspberry. Oh, just got a wiff of coffee!

Fourth tasting from brewery. Hazy brown-amber colour with an off-white cap and some decent spotted lacing. Fresh green apple nose with some hints of maple. The maple sap is felt a tad more in the taste, but the apples come out kicking strong as well with a bitter-dry finish. I seem to recall this one being sweeter last year when I had it, but now, not being syrupy and bitter, dry makes it appealing to IPA drinkers.

Third tasting from this brewery. Brown colour with cola highlights, light mocha-coloured milky-creamy head that goes down quickly and leaves a little lace. Beautiful coconut aromas over roasted malts and lactose sweetness. The taste is mildly sweet, but more waxy with the coconut. So, feels like real coconut was used and not extract. Hints of chocolate. Another one that goes down way smoothly.
