Description
From its inception in an old barn in South Portland to its realization at Industrial Way, Battery Steele brewing has been fueled by a dedication to continuing the craft beer legacy of Portland Maine. The brewery was founded by Jacob Condon and Shane Noble, who together share a collective 25 years in the brewing industry. They strive to offer a wide variety of styles, frequently rotating through new ideas, variations, ingredients and concepts, to not only offer the community something new but also to continue to challenge themselves as brewers.

Pours hazy orange with a medium sized off-white head that dissipates quickly, good lacing. Ripe fruit, grassy, melon, mild bitter.

Can from Neil. Pours hazy yellow, medium white head, good lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, melon. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. Medium body. Old. No date on the can though, so you get a rating anyway

Sample courtesy of Cheeseboard, cheers Simon! Hazy golden colour, bubbly white head and aroma of tropical fruit, zesty lemon-lime citrus, hops. Taste is sweet, malt, caramel, tropical fruity, spicy citrus, grapefruit, pine with resiny hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, fruity hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Can online from Leftfield Beer. Pours hazed orange with off-white foam. Aroma: sweet, ripe tropical & stone fruits, dank. Taste: moderate+ sweet, juicy, orange, ripe peach, mango, pine, hop bitterness on the finish. Medium/full body with fine carbonation. Bit too sweet for me.

6 oz cask at Cask On! Has a earthy, nutty, yeasty aroma. Mild fruits on the finish. Decent malt body and clean.
Light bitterness with yeast in the finish. What the style should be.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is dank oniony hop, tropical fruits, citrus, oats, mango, passion fruit, garlic, light pine. Mild sweetish taste, bitterness is medium with a hint of hopburn. Medium body. Juicy and dank, nice, bit overboard on the onions.

From tap at Gollem Amstelstraat, Amsterdam. Marshmallow aroma with chocolate, roasted malt, sugar, caramel. Roasty bitterness and medium sweet, lots of marshmallows but not too much. Medium to full body. Sugary but kinda nice.

473ml can BBE 1 month ago. Hazy orange, thin white head. Aroma of mango, citrus, sweet chewy malts, some mild darkness. Taste is mango, grapefruit, a pithy citrus, some zesty notes, tangy citrus and bitter finish. Medium body and a little chewy. Very nice.
