Hazy gold, small white head.Nose of stale smoke and light fruit.Palate has the old familiar"ashtray" taste,(dirty line for draught) vague smoke and fruit.Very late light hop finish. A poor beer for a great cause.

Bottle - Light bacony and smoke. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Very light smoke and sweet wheat notes. Much too light in smoke for my taste.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a gay blonde with a small white head. Aroma is light, with subtle smoke and a touch of wheat. Flavour brings out dry wheat and a subtle hint of smoke. Pleasant enough but pretty boring. Drinkable.

Cask at The Main on Main, Vancouver
Black color, flat, with no head. It’s roasty and bready, with a slight chocolate hint; fairly dry, although the lack of carbonation helps the mouthfeel; no trace of Jameson, it wouldn’t work very well anyway, with a dry beer.
In short, it’s just the same R&B Stout.

Bottle, Legacy. Amber-brown. Smells very sweet, candyish, with a touch of caramel. The palate is more balanced but still sweet. The spruce shows through the candy-caramel at least a little bit. Okay but not as balanced as the others in this series.

Part of the BC Craft Brewers Guild Natural Selections 6 pack (2014). Pours a hazy copper colour with red highlights. The head is creamy, beige, lasts long and lacing is creamy, thick as well. Aromas of nutty malts, raisins, caramel, dates, spicy yeast and sugars. The taste is much milder, watered-down. Very light roasted malts with some sourness in the middle (light infection ?). Not sure about hitting the style. Seems more like a fruity rousse.

Bottle from a mix-BC 6 pack. This beer pours a much darker mahoganey brown with a very slight head that vanished fast. Served in a flared pilsner glass. The aroma is syrupy caramel, butterscotch & fudge. This cream ale has the zesty active carbonation I associate with Vancouver beers, thankfully it is pretty smooth and not so rough. The taste is tangy butterscotch and caramel. I think it may have been heat damaged and I am getting diacetyl. It is OK but that sweetness is somewhat cloying. Once it warmed up you did get some cream flavor as well.
