We specialize in producing distinctive all-malt lager and other German and Czech style beers. We use only the finest, most appropriate malts, hops, water and yeast in our beers. While our lagers are similar to those made in Germany and the Czech Republic, they are our own unique interpretation of the style.
Lager beers are fermented at lower temperatures than ale, using yeast that has adapted to cooler fermentations. Low temperature fermentations create fewer “yeasty” aromas, esters, and flavors that are so common in ales. We brew lagers because we enjoy their smooth malty and hoppy character.

22oz Bottle Pours out amber topped with a white head. Aroma was not much smoke, light chard malts, grass. Taste was very light for a smoke. This was not what I was thinking it was going to be. When I see smoke I’m thinking dark roasty camp fire.

cheers to googzoid10 for the trade. Heater Allen has the talent of nailing down basic beer styles and this one is another good example of their craftmanship. Dark brown, light tan head. Aroma, chocolate malts, cocoa powder, earthly nose, mild touch of smoke. Flavors, nice roasted malts, chocolate and cocoa with touch of molasses and smoked malts. Solid as per usual, light palate with a mild touch of hop bitterness. Dry with a mild spicy finish.

Cheers to googzoid10 for this one. Amazed by what these guys do. They don’t go ballistic on big boozy beers, but keep churning out beers that are intense in their style. golden color, white head aroma and flavors, lots of nice citrus hops giving a mild bitetrness, a touch of malt and grains. It’s a pils, and it’s fantastic. nice grassy mouthfeel, silky palate and far from a lot of the euro lagers that just taste like tin can.

Courtesy of sebletitje, pours clear copper with micro thin white head. The aroma has mild level of pine hops mixing with rough earthiness and spiciness. The taste has an even mix of citrus, pine hops, some roasty malts and earthiness. By about midway there is an island of malt graininess before the hops and modest roast return to wipe away the grains into the finish.

Draught. Pured black with medium ecru head. Aroma is malty toast and caramel. Roasty full body, with toffee and caramel notes. Smoky finish, as if some barrel aging had taken place. A difficult beer to place, not really a bock, not a porter, not a schwarzbier.

Pours very dark brown with a four finger tan head. Sort of smokey chocolate aroma. Medium body; foamy carbonation. Flavor is mildly smokey and somewhat burnt malt. No chocolate. Finish is like some sort of bakery dessert flavor. Then maybe some chocolate. Or not.
