A hazed reddish rose ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light raspberries, light lactic and Epsom salts, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light raspberry jam, light acidity, very nice and smooth.

Assemblage 170220 in a big 750ml brown bottle pouring a golden colour, clean for now, with a fizzy off-white cap that disappears quickly leaving no lacing. Haziness does come. Bretty nose with some light sourness and mild sourness. Apples in the aromas and taste. Decent sour flavours with a light dryness in the finish. Some fruitiness all around. Easy to drink and not too sour and wild. Nice !

Agrumes développant du pamplemousse et du citron, fruits tropicaux éparses, base maltée sentie et fond de dry-hop discret composent les principaux éléments de l’olfactif. Le liquide est opaque sans être boueux. Les bulles abondantes sont perceptibles à travers le liquide doré jaunâtre. La mousse est abondante, crémeuse et très persistante. Agrumes et fruits tropicaux accaparent une bonne partie de la palette mais se maintiennent dans une douceur tout à fait acceptable. L’amertume se veut discrète et n’est pas complètement issue des houblons mais rappelle plutôt le zeste d’agrumes. Le fruité est sobre et bien loin de la tendance des dernières années pour ce style. La finale est assez sèche bien que le fruité s’y répercute légèrement. L’alcool est à peu près imperceptible et bien intégré. La corpulence est plutôt moyenne avec une texture assez douce. Une NEIPA qui nous ramène dans le droit chemin du style original, sans exagération du fruité et à l’encontre de la tendance actuelle.

Bottle from the Lcbo. Fairly unassuming beer. A touch of sweetness to some straightforward hay malts. The hops is notable but light, comes off green and fresh, a little resin, a touch bitter. Quaffable but I wouldn't go out of the way to have it.
