Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle from RobertDale poured into a glass. Slightly hazy golden with small/medium white head. Aroma is nice grain, medium/light body, lower carbonation, and pretty good small-bubble lacing. Taste is clean grain and crisp hops. Refreshing and really good for a helles.

Nonic pint draft at the Whole Foods Market in Olathe, Kansas. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a smallish white head that leaves behind pretty lace. The aroma is sweet cereal grain malt, floral grass, a bit of clove and alcohol present. The taste is the sweet malt, citrus grass hop and the warming finish. The palate is medium to light bodied with active carbonation and a lingering sweet malt finish along with a hint of the floral. Nicely executed beer.

12 oz goblet draft at Red Door in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is a darker brown reddish with a well formed 1 inch tan head that falls slow with nice lacing. The aroma is softly sweet fruit malt, along with warming alcohol. The taste is a nice, clean simple Doppelbock - featuring the fruit malt of the nose, bit of caramel and the warming alcohol heat that accents the big malt character nicely. As the beer warms, a bit of yeast is evident. The palate is medium to heavy bodied, with natural active carbonation and a clean softly sweet finish. This style is often too sweet for me, this beer manages the sweet character well. Nice one.
