Black Country Beano. Outbound train tasting! Light haze on this pale gold beer. Fresh palate, softish. Fine carbonation. Clean malt that develops thin cream. Light dried fruits. Light dry finish. Inoffensive.

First train beer of RB Black Country Beer Bus Bash; pale pour white head, malty aroma very much your generic pale lager, I could get verbose about this but I’d prefer to hear about the Virgin Train toilets.

500 ml footed Pils glass draft at Fireworks Pizza in Arlington, Virginia. (Drank about 8 oz of this). The pour is a clear golden with a small white head. The aroma is a slightly dirty malt grain along with some herbal faint hops. The taste is light malt grain sweetness, a fair bit of the dirtiness, and a touch of the faint herbal hops. The palate is light bodied, with a high level of rough carbonation, and a slightly sweet finish. Just ok.

Pours deep, murky, red-brown with a short tan head. Caramel, spice aroma. Flavour is flat cola, caramel, fruit.... Flowery/herbal bitter. A little flat, and a little off.

* under cap puzzle translates to: Miami Vice* Pours oily black with a thin, dark tan head that dissipates quickly. Prune, dark vinous fruit, coffee aroma. Smoky, black cherry/ chocolate flavour....malty. Acidic, sharp and toffee’d. A very different porter... Very enjoyable...imperial accents without the higher ABV.

Pours cloudy, light amber with a short tan head. Aroma is caramel, pine, fruit. Taste is caramel with a pine bitter. Fairly simple, but not a bad flavour. Pleasant sweet/bitter combination. Light.

Deep, clear gold with a small dirty-white head. Slightly sour grain malt aroma. Taste is grain, sweet malt, barley.... Seems like some rice in there, somewhere, as well. Pretty much cheap-beer-typical, but better than many bargain beers.
