Dark brown. Pours fairly thick. Brown sugar and wort. Tastes like malta. But a decent one.

This is a pale lager for places that don’t want to serve InBev products and seem craftier. Slightly more taste than those two but not by much.

Notes from January 2011 $1 throw in at New Beer. Pint glass pour. Leftovers still bubbling away in my stomach. Mellow gold, weak whitewash head. Stuffy grain, surprisingly pungent herbage, saltwater. Mossy earth &... butter? Taste was steeped grains, Cheerios, sticky spilt lager, & middle of the road herbal hops. Glassy. Seems fresh. Less appealing adjuncts come through with time though. Drying, pale finish. Feel is frothy, decently carbed(maybe a little rough), no butter, can't complain. This beer isn't terribly filled of flaws, so why is everything they contract brew seem so awful?

12 ounce bottle. Amber orange pour. Pillowy beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Flavor is mild toasted malt, pumpkin pie spices and brown sugar. Light bodied. Typical pumpkin ale flavor.

I found this at Pete's Uptown, never saw it before. Yea this is lionshead, but of course its a little ruder than the good stuff. Its a more leather tasting, because of the alky content, but it certainly is much better than most of those cheap pale lager domestic ice beers out there. Yes, it actually is better than most of the non-ice beer macro lagers. I'm actually enjoying the higher brain numbing effect this has but of course its a little harder to take than the other stuff that simply gives you a good head.

Clear pale from a bottle with a twist off cap. Yes, typical pumpkin beer spices on the nose. Typical pumpkin beer flavors for a 5% brew. Taste has a little unexpected unwanted bitterness on the follow up. Not as smooth as I was hoping it would be. That rude bitter follow-up keeps sticking its head up on each slug. Oh well, not as good as I was expecting, just another cheap pumpkin brew. Does not live up to the lionshead lager name, fer sure.
