Thanks to Lars for bringing me this from Sweden! Buttery oaky apple, WOW. Sour apple moving to sweet caramel, vanilla notes, you taste the full apple (how do they do that!). The pinnacle of all apple beverages. Comparing these ice ciders is apples vs. apples.

Clear dark amber. Aroma is raisins apple skin apple and almond with a good amount of sweetness. Taste is fresh sour with intense caramel and apple sweetness. Lots of fruit and apple caramel in the finish. A bit vanilla. Some cream. Amazing.

Bottle. Clear deep amber color with no head. Aroma is cooked apples, caramel, wood, red apples. Taste is bratapfel, wood, caramel, a bit tannic in the back. Oily mouthfeel, medium to high tannins, the right amount I think, flat. As always, great stuff!

Bottle bought in Finland. Reddish gold, little head. Buttery-popcorn caramel apple nose but not as heavy as the ice ciders from Brännlands. Not too dry, light acidity, smooth. Well balanced sweetness. Really a fantastic beverage!

2015 bottle, many thanks Nische! Deep amber color with no head. Aroma is deep red apples, wood, caramel, gummy bears. Taste is wood, caramel, lots of tannins, super tanninic, but not too much, balance is there. Ripe stuff, not so much oxidization. Dry woody finish. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Incredible stuff!

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear pale yellow. Rich aroma of pears and apples. Mid sweet with light-medium body and crisp mouthfeel. Spritzy carbonation. Sweet pear-like apples, some hay, mildly citric. Light apple skin bitterness.

Bottle from Chambers St., maybe... Had ideas of doing a photoshoot with a bunch of Ikea furniture, but then saw this already had a listed picture. Duvel glass. Clear, bright, pale gold, active body. Smells like musky, macerated, stone-y pears alongside thin & sharp apples. Taste is semi-sweet, with a good sour twang. Caramelization & candy pucker hanging around the back till it flattens out on a mineral note. Said pucker seems a little commercial, like malic acid. Also seemed too sweet at first, but that may just be in the nose. Prosecco really comes to mind here. It's thin, fruity, lightly sweet, very bubbly but not with the tightness or complexity of champagne. Apples are a little nondescript, but it obviously drinks faster then a contemplative bottle of still cider.

Clear, dark yellow. Red apple skin, a little bit of apple spirit. Tart and bright. Some minerality. Very high flavour for 8%
