Pours brown (not dark, not light, just brown). Some beige bubbles on the top, not excessive. Nose is interesting, herbal and mushroomy, kind of like wet forest with extra caramel hint, lightly smoky. Taste has smoke as well, sweet, only light bitterness, bonfire-baked mushrooms. Quite tasty, light but full of complexity and flavour, interesting.

Tap at Bungalow. Very muddy orange-brown with lace. Nose is citrus, tea, mint, lychee. Very sweet, citrus tartness, Earl Grey, tons of lychee. Bitter, rough finish. Kind of fun but too sweet and a bit too rough.

medium red brown color. Cherries and fig creep out of the nose but fairly faint. Malty mouth that is definitely a new world take but cherries, wood and fig jump out a bit more with moderate tartness. It’s hard to imagine that a brewpub that appeals to the masses would make a world class Belgian red. Taking that into context, this is a decent brew

dark brown color. Very sweet nose of honey and chocolate. Sweet mouth with honey very obvious. Chocolate plays in the finish, but this is just too sweet for my liking, though surprised it was 8.5%

Tap at Bungalow. PAle, hazy golden with a low head. Nose is mango, tropical fruit, lemon, cream. Nicely sour, sweet as well, lemon candy, mango, prickly finish. Simple, tart and fruity. Not complex, and a bit too candy-like and fake, but ok.

Tap @ Beer Boy, Nakameguro. Pours hazy orange, not much foam but there are some bubbles. Nose is malty, quite nondescript and honestly a bit boring. Light citrus and sone fruits. Tastes citrusy and quite bitter. Malty and somewhat grainy base, citrusy slickness there and overall drinks OK. Dry body but as the base is quite malty it still feels somewhat heavy.

Tap @ Goodbeer Faucets. Pours light yellow, pretty clear and not too much white foam on top. Nose is interesting, super dry, a bit champagne-like - and at times feels like a freshly peeled willow-tree, woody and herbal. Tastes dry, super dry, light bitterness and some champagne yeast spices. Lime or some citrus (well, sudachi), also there, quite juicy as a matter of fact. Not bad but takes time to start liking this. Didn't actually reach that level - but finished my glass still.

Tap at Craft Beer Holiday. Y Harbor Juicy IPA Opaque copper gold with s somewhat juicy aroma. Light bodied with a bit of almost lactose sweetness and light juicy hops. Very very tame for the style but an ok beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Osaka-jo Craft Beer Holiday 2018. Cloudy dark golden color. Nice juicy nose of mango and orange juice. Flavor starts out that way but somehow manages to become undrinkably medicinal and nasty. Bitter medicine finish.

Tap at Bakuon 2018. This is a brown ale with grilled sanma (mackerel pike) and sudachi fruit added. Nice roasty nose, smoky, umami, citrus, caramel malt. Flavor is really grilled fish and citrus. Hmm. I don't like it at all, but it's darn well done and could go well with grilled fish.
