fairly hazy but not turbid. Green pepper on top of orange gummy bears in the nose. Big coffee bean with underlying orange juicy character. Low bitterness. Very interesting

Tap at the Shinshu Craft Beer Matsuri, 2018. Nice strawberry nose. Clear orange amber, pretty. Funky strawberry taste is not up to the nose, a bit weird on funked out.

Tap at the Shinshu Craft Beer Matsuri, 2018. Somewhat funky nose, cherry, lemon, wheat biscuits. Tasty, body is flat which kind of makes it hard to appreciate the sour edge and fruit.

Tap at the Shinshu Craft Beer Matsuri, 2018. Cloudy blond with lace. Nose is lemon, other citrus, coffee. Crisp malt flavor, citrus and coffee, very nice body. Good stuff.

Tap at Kamikaze. Pretty, shiny black with lace. Phenolic nose, berries, rubber, soy sauce. Kind of nose I hate in a stout. Flavor is rather chemical with burnt rubber and soy sauce dominating and not much yuzu to be found. Phenolic as hell. Something wrong with this one.

Tap at Before 9. Very cloudy whitish yellow with lace. Sakura mochi nose, pickled cherry leaves, orange juice. Very bitter and astringent falvor, leaves, grass, light grapefruit. Spritzy and peppery but the finish is nasty and lasts forever leaving my tongue numb. Undrinkable really although it started out ok.

Tap at B&G Nicholson, not such an exciting taplist on this visit but the gyozas here rock. A small craft beer and 4 Gyoza run you about 10$ add decent price. TY Harbor Strawberry Wheat 8% Big breads yeasty sweet aroma, fairly full bodied with a rich jammy strawberry flavor. This is surprisingly crisp and clean with a fruity tang and belly warmth in the finish. I wasn't expecting much but it was pretty good.

Tap @ TBF Brewing. Pours hazy whitish-orange, some white foam on the top, leaves lacings while calming down. Nose is lightly sweet and lactic, some berries and light hops. Overall, really feels like fresh strawberry milkshake, they really nailed the aroma. taste has juice, some milky strawberry, light lupulin dust burn. Finish falls a bit flat with just some herbal lingering light bitterness - bit overall a fun thing to drink.

Tap at Japan Brewer's Cup 2018. Still had a bit of a cold, so my palate may not have been quite right. Nose is dried fig, wheat, lots of esters, some diacetyl, white grapes. Sweet andwheaty with fig and butterscotch, oranges. The diacetyl is a bit too much, but kind of makes it like buttered rum and works I think.

Very hazy amber color. Nice juicy nose with citrus, strawberry and lactose. Very smooth body, tons of lactose, almost too much lactose which distracts. Lacking depth, low bitterness. Not bad but other than smooth body it does deliver that much.
