Tap at Osaka-jo Craft Beer Holiday 2018. Cloudy dark golden color. Nice juicy nose of mango and orange juice. Flavor starts out that way but somehow manages to become undrinkably medicinal and nasty. Bitter medicine finish.

Tap at Bakuon 2018. This is a brown ale with grilled sanma (mackerel pike) and sudachi fruit added. Nice roasty nose, smoky, umami, citrus, caramel malt. Flavor is really grilled fish and citrus. Hmm. I don't like it at all, but it's darn well done and could go well with grilled fish.

Tap at Bakuon 2018. Resiny hop nose, grapefruit, orange, biscuit malt. Amber-orange color. Nice hop and malt flavor, resins and citrus, finish is just a bit rough.

Tap at Bakuon 2018. Dry nose, sudachi, citrus hops, light cat piss. Super dry flavor, lots of citrus, especially sudachi, crackery malt with almost no sweetness. Interesting.

slightly hazy amber color. Very earthy, musty, minerally nose that is hugely yeast driven but hardly shows much hops. Light, soft mouth feel with modest bitterness. Rounded. Kinda between a British and American pale ale. Enjoyable but not overly interesting

Nice spicy fruity clean dry hoppy nose. Light mouth, crisp, snappy bitterness, like a white ipa, but very drinkable and low abv makes this a great summer hit.

fairly hazy amber golden color. Very nice dry hoppy nose with strong Belgian yeast character . Hoppy, slightly citrusy, grassy character palate with dry strong Belgian yeast and straw. Dry finish with the Belgian yeast just lingering. Pretty nice stuff

hazy deep amber color. Malty nose with good rye and wood character. Malty, big wood and rye character. Very spicy. Well balanced, but underlying beer is ok. Still interesting stuff
