Clear amber colour, white foam. Nose of marzipan, sweet malts, bready, buttery. Taste is sweet, buttery, unbalanced. Diacetyl. Not a very nice Maibock.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small, white head. Sweet, clean malts dominate the aroma. Medium body, still sweet and malty with only a subtle hint of hops. A somewhat low key Festbier - they usually have more ooompf! 260421

Aromatisch, floral, fruchtig / herb. Durchaus schmackhaft. Was man dem Bier hoch anrechnen muss ist, dass die Rohstoffe aus biologischem Anbau kommen.

Angenehm bitter, leicht fruchtig, leicht floral. Etwas zu viel Kohlensäure. Ist trinkbar, aber der ganze große Genuss kommt nicht auf.

Angenehm bittere, florale Note. Auch finden sich leichte Sektnuancen. Das wird noch von der reichlich vorhanden Kohlensäure unterstrichen. Ein interessantes und durchaus wohlschmeckendes Helles.

Caramel dominating in the form of toffee, maraschino cherry esters are the component of this quite malty aroma. Large dense beige foam lingers on the light brown liquid with reddish reflections, perfectly clear and effervescent. Caramel dominates largely the tasting palette with an overly sweet finish. Liquid caramel on a light heat of alcohol supported by an active but gentle effervescence. Slightly herbaceous hops are not enough to balance the strong caramel flavors. The body is round and velvety on a gentle heat of alcohol. Way too sweet. Malt complexity deficient. One-way balance. Just tasty because of the sweet flavors. Grosse mousse beige bien dense s’éternise sur le liquide brun clair aux reflets rougeâtres, parfaitement limpide et effervescent. En bouche, le caramel domine encore largement avec une fin de bouche très sucrée. Du caramel liquide sur une légère chaleur d’alcool soutenue par une effervescence active mais douce. Le houblon légèrement herbacé ne s’impose pas assez pour équilibrer les fortes saveurs de caramel. Le corps est rond et velouté sur une douce chaleur d’alcool. Beaucoup trop sucrée. Floral, getreidig, man merkt den Hopfen. Obwohl mit 4,7 % recht leicht ist das Bier überhaupt nicht wässrig. Ach wenn der ganz große Genuss ausbleibt ist das ein recht brauchbares Helles.

Schöne goldene, ganz leicht rötliche Farbe. Ordentliche 5,6 % Alk. und 13,5 % Stammwürze, wie es sich für ein klassisches Märzen gehört. Deutlich hopfige und etwas mildere malzig / getreidige Noten. Auch florale und fruchtige Nuancen finden sich in der dritten Reihe.

Ein dunkles Export findet man sich nicht so oft. Recht malzig im Geruch. Geschmacklich ist das nicht ganz so intensiv vorhanden. Hier sind spielen eher hopfige und florale Noten die erste Geige. Direkt gefolgt von deutlichen Nuancen von schwarzer Johannisbeere. Das Höss Holzar Bier zündet bei mir nicht 100 %, ist aber doch recht Interessant und ungewöhnlich. Holzi, Holzi, Holz.
