Description
Timmermans has kept the tradition of the true lambic alive for over 300 years now. This unique beer, made with 30% wheat, is brewed in Itterbeek, in the oldest active lambic brewery. At its origin is a miracle: micro-organisms in the air of the Senne valley end up in the wort and cause spontaneous fermentation. This is why a true lambic is brewed only within a 15 km radius of Brussels, in the area known as Pajottenland. Since 1993, Martin’s Finest Beer Selection has been proud to preserve this authentic part of Belgium’s beer heritage.

Bottle 750ml @ My parent's. Pours hazy amber/red with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, tart, cherry, funk and barnyard. Taste is light sweet and medium to heavy sour with a long tart, cherry, cherry pits and funky finish. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle from De Verzekering.
A: clear light red, stable, foamy, pinkish head.
A: strawberry candy, raspberry, liquorice, rosehip, vague thyme.
T: sweet-sour strawberry, raspberry, sweetened jam, herbs.
F: bit tart & sweet strawberry, herbal hops, icing sugar effect.
P: medium body, slick-sticky texture, average carbonation.
Not as terrible as the 'Black Pepper' counterpart, but still disappointing as a fruited Lambic.

Bottle from 2013. Extreme sour and fruity beginning. Deep fresh sour cherries, intense sourness, horse blanket, smooth sour, deep intense sour in the end. Lots of great fresh cherries, sour and deep fruity. Long and intense aftertaste. Fascinating!!

Sehr süss, die würzig-sauren Lambic-Aromen werden etwas in den Hintergrund gedrängt. Aber fein.

Bottle from Utobeer, Borough Market, London. Lightly hazed yellowy-amber with a white head and a soft fizz. Tastes of tinned peaches and potpourri. The artificial peach blossom is really overdone. It's quite sweet with just a light tartness and a wisp of bitterness in the aftertaste. Too artificially floral for my liking.

Pours bit unclear, witbier-like yellow. Small white head. Scent is mildly funky, some wood. Elderflower is very mild. Taste is full, tart and dry. Citric, fairly mild MF. Malty finish (sharp) loud on the wheat.
