Bottle 25cl. @home poured into teku glass. Bright brick red colour. Small but steady off-white to pink head, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, cherries, speculoos, marzipan. Taste above medium sweet, slightly sourish, cherries, cherry jam, marzipan, some wood, also retronasal marzipan, hint of pepper. Light to medium body, jammy mouthfeel, average carbonation, short fruity sweet and a bit sourish aftertaste, okay.

750 ml corked & caged dark bottle, as Timmermans 1702 - Oude Schaarbeekse Kriek Griotteke, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.7%. Deep red colour, off-white to pink head. Distinct aroma of sour cherries and almonds / marzipan, also notes of farmhouse kitchen. Sour flavour with sour cherries galore, brettanomyces and hints of lemons.

Bottle. Unclear amber with an off white head that's soon less than a coat. Aroma of brown sugar, apples, old lemons, crackers. Moderately sweet with a nip of sourness in the background. Tastes like cider. Some hard spices at the end. Refreshing.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear red with a thin pink head. Aromas of strong raspberry and light sour. Taste is sweet and creamy though. Not sure I'm getting hibiscus, but that doesn't bother me. Sweet jammy finish.

0.25 l bottle from 'Slijterij Berendsen', best before May 2025. Clear, deep ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, peppery, minimally sourish aroma of cherry juice, yoghurt, marzipan and black pepper. Very sweet, minimally sourish, rather fruity and slightly peppery taste of cherry juice, marzipan, black pepper and some yoghurt, followed by a short, minimally tart finish. Thin to medium body, smooth but quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Typically sweetened lambic but with an interesting twist due to the black pepper.

Tap at London Craft Beer Festival 2023. Nose is cherry, vanilla, black pepper. Sweet cherry flavor, pepper, vanilla. Like a milkshake sour. Ok but disappointing.
