Description
Big Drop Brewing Co. is a new craft beer company dedicated to making great beer with an ABV of no more than 0.5%.

Big Drop was launched in October 2016 by the-then City lawyer Rob Fink, along with his school-friend/band-mate, designer and entrepreneur, James Kindred. Along with renowned experimental brewer, Johnny Clayton (formerly of Wild Beer Co), they’ve perfected techniques to make alcohol-free craft beer without the need for artificial removal of alcohol.

The 2018 contract with a leading supermarket chain will require Big Drop, which moved production from a small-batch brewer in Bermondsey to Sussex-based own-label specialist Hepworth, to scale up production from 10,000 litres per month to some 40,000 litres.

Production moved to Black Sheep Brewery after a deal was agreed with Keystone Brewing Group, announced December 2024.

330ml bottle. Pours black-brown in colour with a biege foam head that dissipates away and aroma of roast malt, meaty, chocolate & coffee. Taste is roasty malt, ash, powdered chocolate, vanilla, coffee and earthy bitterness. Thin mouthfeel, light bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty finish. Quite OK for the low abv

06/03/2019 @home - 33cl bottle from AH Ronse. Clear dark brown, small tanned head. Nose is roast, bit coffee, milk chocolate. Taste is thin roast, milk chocolate, wattery roasted ending. Not worse than a lot of 5% ABV stouts so not bad at all in that way.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, pale yellow with a small, white head. Nose has that unfermented wort aroma you so often find in these n/a beers. Watery body, sweet wort and cardboard with some late bittering hops. For a brewery specializing in n/a beers they're honestly not all that impressive. 210219
