Big Drop was launched in October 2016 by the-then City lawyer Rob Fink, along with his school-friend/band-mate, designer and entrepreneur, James Kindred. Along with renowned experimental brewer, Johnny Clayton (formerly of Wild Beer Co), they’ve perfected techniques to make alcohol-free craft beer without the need for artificial removal of alcohol.
The 2018 contract with a leading supermarket chain will require Big Drop, which moved production from a small-batch brewer in Bermondsey to Sussex-based own-label specialist Hepworth, to scale up production from 10,000 litres per month to some 40,000 litres.
Production moved to Black Sheep Brewery after a deal was agreed with Keystone Brewing Group, announced December 2024.

Can at the Sweet Pea Kitchen, Bradford on Avon. Yellowy-gold with a light fizz and a thin white head thay swiftly fades away. Watery from the off. Sweetcorn and a little lemon. Some nice floral notes in the aftertaste fail to compensate for the sweet, flabby malt and the thin body. It's not horrible, but it certainly needs to be a bit crisper and hoppier to achieve anything.

Ну можно посчитать за ипу. Вроде цитра ощущается, есть прям послевкусие с пыльцой ещё цветочной.

Can at home. Igazabol nagyjabol egy faktor van, ami egy NA (ipanal) donto tud lenni: hogy a keseruseg mennyire offneziv azon igyekezet kozepette, hogy a worty edesseget elnyomja. Itt egesz jo a balansz, ahhoz kepest legalabbis, szoval soha rosszabbat.

Nice roast, cocoa nibs, milk chocolate. Very thin mouth feel, light carb. Sweet, roasty finish, soft grassy notes, and hints of coffee.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear gold, with a medium white head. Aroma is grassy, soft cereals, some wet paper, and light minerals. Not bad actually, i was expecting the worst. The mouth feel is a little thin, but its crisp, and clean. Finish has some light grassy notes, muted cereals, a little mealy. Not bad though, the bar is pretty low for these beers so it doesnt take much to be decent in this category, but i would actually drink this again! nice.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is soft fruity hops with biscuity malt, some citrus, and notes of mineral water. Flavour is fairly bitter, body is nonexistent. Not the most horrible Low Alc.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is roasted malt with notes of chocolate and coffee. Bit charred as well. Flavour is light sweet with a roasty bitterness. Body is light and watery. Surprisingly good, one of the better options if you're ever on antibiotics and crave roasted malt.

33cl can, BB 09/09/2025.
