Description
Big Drop Brewing Co. is a new craft beer company dedicated to making great beer with an ABV of no more than 0.5%.
Big Drop was launched in October 2016 by the-then City lawyer Rob Fink, along with his school-friend/band-mate, designer and entrepreneur, James Kindred. Along with renowned experimental brewer, Johnny Clayton (formerly of Wild Beer Co), they’ve perfected techniques to make alcohol-free craft beer without the need for artificial removal of alcohol.
The 2018 contract with a leading supermarket chain will require Big Drop, which moved production from a small-batch brewer in Bermondsey to Sussex-based own-label specialist Hepworth, to scale up production from 10,000 litres per month to some 40,000 litres.
Production moved to Black Sheep Brewery after a deal was agreed with Keystone Brewing Group, announced December 2024.

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of bready malt, citrus and orange. Taste of bready malt, orange, citrus, caramel and some herbal hop. Quite nice, this could pass as a normal apa.

27/7/2018. Bottle shared at John's. Pours very pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of cornsyrup, maize, vegetable and a hint of honey tea. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Some of this brewers beers are good substitutes but this one isn't so good.

27/7/2018. Bottle shared at John's. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, toffee and coffee. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Light body, slight oily and watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Decent for its low abv with good aroma though lacks body of a typical abv stout, and much too fizzy.

Nearly black airy beige head. Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Roasted malt and coffee flavour. Light of course, but pretty flavourful for the ABV. Fluffy carb, nicely drinkable.
