330ml bottle. Darkest reddish brown colour with average to huge, firm, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Dark malty aroma with notes of chocolate and unroasted coffee. Taste is moderately sweet dark malty, hints of chocolate, mocca, a parallel sourish touch is present; slightly "crumbly" mouthfeeling due to particulate matter.

On tap @ In de Wildeman. Light amber color. White head, good lacing. Aroma’s: citrus (x2), light malty, with some tropical (sweet) fruit retronasal. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter. Body is medium. Finishes dry, but only after some time the bitterness kicks in. Quite nice.

On tap @ La Tape. Orangish colour with an average formation of an off-whit head. Aroma has citrus notes, dominating the orange and floral hops. Flavor has a decent bitterness with light caramel traces with a good duration, orange peel hints as well. Mild final with a good bitterness with an average duration.

[Keg at the Euston Tap] Pale orangey-amber with a moderate white head. Tropical fruit (mainly peach) up front, some caramel, and then sweet oranges. Pretty sweet throughout in fact - there’s a little bit of piney hop, but it’s hidden deep in the background and fails to balance the beer. In fact, all of the flavours lack vibrancy, making it rather a nondescript beer. It certainly doesn’t taste its strength. Rather a disappointment this one.

Thx. to Kraddel for this one. 33 cl. bottle splite. Hazy orange with only some brief bubbles for a head. Strong bitter USA pine hops in the nose, with some caramel backbone, light sweetness, light orange peel. Rather bitter pine & bitter marmaled with light toffee & caramel backbone, lingering floral & even more herbal bitterness, light flowers, bitter orange peel. Almost going to a bit too light body. Not a bad DIPA.

Keg at the Euston Tap. Hazy deep amber beer. Small cream coloured head. Remarkable strawberry nose! Soft palate with mild fine carbonation. Creamy malt. Sweet hops! Sweet pine and mild strawberry!! Just a touch of marmalade and peach. A little aniseed. Soft bitter sweet finish. Well mostly sweet! Mild bitter linger. Different and very tasty!

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Hazy amber with a tight, off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Pine, tangerine and yeasty stone fruit aroma. Sweetish flavours upfront, with some caramel, slightly earthy malts, tropical fruit and green herbs. Finish was dry and resinous. Excellent.

Rerate at BKL2017: 9 4 7 3 15 Amber, offwhite head. Fresh grapefruit citrus aroma Medium body, sparkles Pleasant light tart citrus, light metallic in the finish. Very refreshing at this point of the BKL. Old rating: 6 4 7 3 12 Tap. Red orange, cloudy, offwhite head. Piney west coast hops, peachy fruits, light resin and herb finish. Medium body, dry, salty, chewy. Mostly a standard American IPA, the herbal bonbon note sets it apart.

Here is a lovely looking beer with plenty of layers of aroma including bread, honey, spice, grapefruit, lemon, orange and flowers. The hops are much more prominent in the drinking with grapefruit, lemon, cream, a little spice and mineral water. I love the creamy palate, and it’s pretty hard to find too many negatives about this beer. Bravo (squealer from Prince Wine Store, Essendon.
