Description
Inspired by the love of great beer and the lack of a brewery on the Gower Peninsula - the UK's first area of outstanding natural beauty - the Gower Brewery was born. Established in 2011, we are one of the fastest growing breweries in Wales. Armed with the best ingredients we can find, we pack our ales full of flavour and natural goodness and ultimately brew beers that we want to drink!

Bottle from the brewer’s own stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. Brown-black with a beige head and a light fizz. Roasty malt and chocolate in a rather light body. Pretty average.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste both are quite faint. Perhaps the slightest touch of hops in there, but hardly detectable. I’ve had much better from the UK brewers at this years GBBF.

Cask gravity at Duke of Wellington, Norwich. It pours hazy near black with a bubbly beige head. The aroma is earthy roasted malts, liquorice allsorts, umami and malt loaf. The taste is smooth, toast, liquorice, light ash, mild astringency, dry wood with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A fairly ho hum porter. Drinks easy anyhow.
