Description
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

Keg at Lyric, Soho. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is smoke, ham, caramel, dark fruit and wood. The taste is earth, toast, smoke, high bitterness, wood, resin and some astringency with a damn bitter finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps lacking in a bit of body, bit pretty nice. I think this style suits being on keg. Decent.

Pours pitch black with a small head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, roasted malts, hints of chocolate and vanilla. Taste is smooth, slightly fruity with loads of coffee, some roastiness, hints of chocolate and vanilla. Finish is oily, slightly roasty with notes of coffee and dark fruits. Quite balanced and tasty coffee stout.

Tap at the Rake - Borough Market, London. Lovely little lager. Pours clear gold with a fine, white head. Crisp and not too sugary sweet, with dry cereal, buscuits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean and crisp and refreshing to finish, with dry and biscuity pale malts and mellow bitter hay. Very easy to drink.
