Description
Hill Farmstead Brewery is the culmination of many years of travel and insight—of experience and education—of friendships and explorations. The brewery is the revival and continuation of 220 years of Hill heritage and hand crafted history in North Greensboro, Vermont. Its logo is retrieved from a sign that once hung in Aaron Hill's (our great(x3) grandfather) tavern, just up the hill, in the early 1800s.

Golden with a small soapy white head. Tart, yeasty and phenolic with a Jolly Rancher Candy note. Medium finish and body. Disappointing.

Canned on 91/13/2026. Medium body. Aards bittere afdronk.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: golden yellow color with a half a finger of white foamy head which settled off at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: sweet to tart plum notes; funky with subtle tart character; light white and/or black pepper accents; slight lemony accents and a touch of sweet wood in there
Flavor: sour to tart qualities lead with a slight sweet tone enlivening with more sips; mellow finish of the plums with a subtle peppery spice and a touch of dryness
Texture: light to medium bodied; leaning towards being a sipper; subtle smoothness but a slight good drying to semi-tart effect rolling over the tongue; good carb level
Overall: a very nicely done plum flavored saison I would very much welcome again!

Can to tulip.
Appearance: brassy orange/copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated gently to leave some light lace
Aroma: subtle peachy to apricot to piney and danky toned grapefruity hop notes; super light clean malts (seemed barely noticeable)
Flavor: wonderfully meshes the prior noted aromas to a sweet to bittersweet and firm danky sweet sort of quality; finishes slightly dry with some danky tones in a grapefruity to semi-earthy sort of way (I'm trying to remember the Frost beer that reminded me of this but at the moment it escapes my mind)
Texture: medium bodied; this is a sipper; great smoothness with nothing distracting anywhere; nice low carb and low hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: what a NEDIPA, I would very much love to come back to this one! But now I also have to think of the Frost beer this reminded me of....hmmm...
