Description
Hill Farmstead Brewery is the culmination of many years of travel and insight—of experience and education—of friendships and explorations. The brewery is the revival and continuation of 220 years of Hill heritage and hand crafted history in North Greensboro, Vermont. Its logo is retrieved from a sign that once hung in Aaron Hill's (our great(x3) grandfather) tavern, just up the hill, in the early 1800s.

Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It’s an almost clear one, golden in color and with a dense, off-white head on top. Some lacings. The aroma has a fruityness and some yeast hints. Brett and a cellar touch too. Orange notes. Pleasantly carbonated, full-bodied and dry. Orange, brett, generic fruityness, some alcohol-like notes, considering the ABV I guess it’s rather some by-products from the fermentation. Long finish with fruityness, orange and brett. A very refreshing one, tasteful too. Gimme more. 110418

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of kristina/grassrootsvt. Pours golden with a slight haze and a creamy and rich white head leaving some lacework. Dry, Bretty nose, very fresh and flowery. Medium body with a dry fruitiness, spicy, dry yeastiness but far from overly yeast - thankfully. The finish is dry, very dry. This is almost like a fresh, young Orval. Perfectly balanced. Very well made Shaun. 170411 & 260511

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen
Exaggerated carbonation, that overwhelms the bartender; hazy amber color with a huge head, compact. The aroma is a mix of exotic fruits (mature mango is the more evident), and apparently there is also the whipped cream. Lean body; dry caramel and toffee flavor; the bitterness is strong, but not excessive, and the hopping brings a pleasant touch of apricot jam. The final as well is quite balanced. Good, but apparently not fresh, for an IPA.

750ml hand bottle pours a hazy, bright yellow with a cloudy, white head. Nose is nice, floral, perfume, grass, white grapes, a little citrus. Flavor is sweet, malty but without being sugary, chalky, wheat, grass, a little chardonnay. Medium bodied, chalky finish. Well balanced and understated.
