Tropical Croydonia Bottle Share. Thanks to Fergus. Almost clear amber - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is fairly smooth with mild fine carbonation. Caramel malts, slightly twangy. A trace of something marmite like. Finishes semi dry with spicy bitterness. All right.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fergus. Pours clear brown with a frothy beige head. The nose has burnt toast, light solvent, earth, faint cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with so,e milk chocolate, dried berries, earthy hops, more toast. Light bodied with lively, velvety carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, some bittersweet cocoa, mild ash, more earth. Fine overall.

Sampled cask @ In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces #4. 2013 Vintage. Dark brown, black with zero head. Nose is hugely vinous, coffee, red wine, sour oak,.. Taste is odd, too heavy on glue with far more pleasant aspects of vinous liquorish, cold coffee, oddly bozzy, roasted malt,.. Flat,.. Quite an interesting old style UK beer,… Interesting & fun but the glue taste etc. takes it down a bit. It would have probably benefited from some carbonation. (Thanks for sharing Benzai, Ceasar, tlahav,…. )

Sampled cask @ In De Wildeman during Carnivale Brettanomyces #4. Black, mocha hued with zero head. Nose is strongly vinous, coffee, malty, puckering & thinned out, quite sour,… Taste is liquorish, cold coffee, chicory, strong vinous, lightly ashy, this is quite vinous to me, not getting any whisky, light roast, oak,… Completely flat,… Quite an interesting old style UK beer,… Very thinned out, vinous, big on coffee, liquorish, flat,… Might have benefited a bit maybe from some carbonation. (Thanks for sharing Benzai, Ceasar, tlahav,…. )

Cask @ In de Wildeman at Carnivale 2015, small sample. Dark color, short frothy head. Aroma of some roast, coffee, slight smooth vanilla and oak wood. Soft sweetness in taste, slight malty bitterness. Barrel works pretty good here, not much funk yet. Decent balance. Nice stuff.
