Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is bretty funk with grains, herbal notes, spicy yeast, buckwheat, thyme, light fruity, soapy notes. Flavour is light tart and sweet. Body is medium with a level of carbonation that gets in the way. Herbal and funky. Expected more from this, it's a bit rough.

Historical Beer - Gruit / Ancient Herbed Ale ✅ Certainly herbal. A bit floral, very earthy - almost a bit of a green tea profile. A bit tart and funky, and almost completely still. I appreciate it, but not really my cup of tea.

Pours hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma is tart with a notes of funk, barnyard, citrus and red berries. Taste is light sweet and heavy sour with a long dry, tart, citrus and berries finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Hibiscus, red wine, cinnamon, caramel malt, and hay aroma. Dark amber with large tan head. Mildly sweet light cinnamon caramel malt, moderately sour hibiscus, and mildly bitter dry red wine and hay flavor. Good body. Interesting - definitely not like any other gruit I've had.

Red cherry, caramel malt, horseblanket, vinegar, and hay aroma. Reddish brown with minimal head. Mildly sweet red cherry, caramel malt, mildly sour Brett and vinegar, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Very nice.

Tåkete gul med hvitt skum. Lukter blomster, parfyme. Mild syrlig i smak. Sitron framtredende i smaken. Kjenner det syrlige godt i avslutningen også.
