Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Cloudy amber, creamy head. Tropical fruit aroma. Sweet and a bit fruity with full body. Salty and richly hoppy. Peppery alcohol contributes with a tingling apricot brandy sensation. The mouthfeel is a normal cushiony soft, yet solid, that is one of Beck-Bräu’s trademarks. Hops and alcohol leaves less space for the malt to come through though. Pretty good experimental beer, but I prefer their regular pils.

Tap @ BBF ’10. Collaboration between Beck, Narke and de Molen. Slight hazy amber color, medium creamy head. Soft hoppy aroma, sweet wood, bit malty, hint of caramel. Slight bitter taste, bit spicy.

Hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma had smoke, ham and toasted malt. Smoked flavor with roasted malt, ham and caramel. Finished smoked.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, as Beckator 10.4% abv) Reddish brown colour with lasting, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of caramel, toasted malt, dark fruit and herbal hints. Malty, slightly smokey taste with dark fruit, caramel, toasty malt, hints of smoke and a bittersweet finish. Full body, smooth and rounded mouthfeel with alcohol well hidden. Brilliant balance. Excellent beer.

Draught at the Sandkerwa festival, Bamberg. Cloudy dark gold, super-fine head. Aroma of grassy, earthy hops, and a touch of honey. Very hoppy--grass and citrus. Clean and dry but with rich, bready malts. Super smooth, almost flat. Huge peppery hop finish. Rich and soft malt. Wonderful! Lots of cereals, some honey. Best of the fest. (Bottled in Japan: 3.9. Lacking the sharp bitterness and some of the richness of the tap version, but still excellent.)

Draught@Akkurat, Stockholm. Golden colour, mediumized white head. Aroma is diacety, fruits, some mild spices and earthcellar. Flavour is diacetyl, grass, some mild notes of yeast and caramel. Aftertaste is diacetyl, grass and some mild earthyness.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a huge, thick and off-white head. Aroma is grassy and slight yeasty. Bitter, crisp and grassy hops flavoured. Dry and crisp bitter finish.

(Draught at Mikkeller Bar) Poured golden and hazy. Head was medium sized and white. Aroma was fruity and citric. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, herbalness, grain, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy and bitter.
