Description
Andreas Gänstaller used to hire the name, building and installation of Beck-Bräu in Trabelsdorf. Since December 2010 he has brewed in Schnaid under his own name. Beers and recipes taken to the new brewery are moved here. Since then his beer sometimes appears under the Drei Kronen name from 2010-2013 when Gänstaller Bräu had the Zoiglstube in Strassgeich as a tap.

I am not a big fan of smoke beer but this one was a really good experience with smoke malt, bacon, beech tree burnt, well done, 18.09.17, at the Pibar, Lauaanne with Raoul.

Mycket gott

Gravity st Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm. Dark mahogany colour, firm, dense head. Intense smokey charcuterie aroma with dark bread behind. Mid sweet with medium body snd soft, firm mouthfeel. Dark bread and somed charcuteries. Mid bitter dinish. Lovely malt depth and smoke intensity. Feels bigger than it's size. Perhaps on thd sweet side, but a world class rauchbier nevertheless.

(Bottle) Hazy brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty nose with dark bread, toast, roasty grain, prunes and raisins. Malty, spicy, roasty taste with dark bread, toast, prunes, raisins, caramel, wort, liquorice, a touch of smoke and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, mainly dry. Warming, slightly vinous, complex and rich. Interesting. Very nice.

On tap at Zapfahn Bamberg. Hazy gold orange colour lasting cream head. Yes some malts yes some hops. Aroma of whote flowers. Good malty backbone. Moderate white pepper hop on the finish. It's good. A little off on the carbonation a little earthy even. But the flavours are excellent. Actually the Ahornla Maibock may be better. Good beer. Though.
