From tap at Borefts 2016. Aroma is grainy malt, hay, mild fruity notes, straw, grassy hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Body is medium. Lots of grains, very tasty Zwickel, would love to drink a full pint of this.

From tap at Borefts 2016. Aroma is big roast, dark malt, chocolate, touch of liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet with a good bitterness. Body is medium to full. Very nice, not your ’typical’ Imperial Stout.

Bottle at home. Aroma is grainy malt, hay, grassy hops, straw, yeast, bit sulphury, touch of weeds. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a sharp bitterness. Body is medium. Tasty Zoigl, bitter favour is a bit on the harsh side though.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is thick smoked malt, smoked ham, caramel malt, smoked bacon, hint of dried fruit with a touch of alcohol. Flavour is medium sweet and above moderate bitter, slightly boozy. Body is above medium. Very rich and smooth mega-smoked Doppelbock, pretty great.

From tap at Kaapse Brouwers, Rotterdam. Aroma is Bretty with creamy grainy malt, straw and hay, mildly fruity from the Mandarina hops. Flavour is mildly sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. Not sure if this is supposed to be Bretty, I'm guessing it's not. Will have to revisit from bottle.

Bottle from Die Bierothek, Bamberg. Aroma is fruity with gentle floral hops, bready wheat, banana, melon, citrus, canned peach, and spicy yeast. Flavour is medium sweet and light to moderate bitter. Body is medium. Well-hopped Weizen, picking lots of Hüll Melon in particular.

Аромат с хмелевым тоном, при этом весьма сильно ощущается нотки от трав различных, одна из них даже напоминает пыльцу и схоже на запах гвоздики со сладкой ноткой, при этом солод тоже на месте с зерном. Цвет глубокий, темно коричневый, пенка небольшая. Вкус слишком горький как по мне, много хмеля континентального, и из за этого падает глубина ноток от трав. При глотке есть травянистость, сладкая нотка почти упала. В целом интересно, но на один раз.
