Description
Andreas Gänstaller used to hire the name, building and installation of Beck-Bräu in Trabelsdorf. Since December 2010 he has brewed in Schnaid under his own name. Beers and recipes taken to the new brewery are moved here. Since then his beer sometimes appears under the Drei Kronen name from 2010-2013 when Gänstaller Bräu had the Zoiglstube in Strassgeich as a tap.

Hazy amber. Herbal aroma with light malts. Very spicy, hoppy example with a fresh, fruity character...very un-bock-like. Long bitterness, good yeast and carbonation. The malts are chewy and rich. Fun, but dangerous beer. It drinks very easy for a strong bock and the hops make it quite appetizing.

Cloudy and pale. Big head. Very yeasty aroma with light fruity hop. Spicy hop accents, lots of yeast and bready character. Good, fun...a little bit doughy note from the yeast.

Served from the barrel. Hazy straw. Almost medicinal herbal hop character. Very dry, yet retains rusticity. Kind of minerally, which brings out some tannic bitterness to heighten the effect. Interesting take on the tradition. Tropical fruit notes in the finish. Better than the sum of its parts.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 25 June 2009) Orangey yellow colour, hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of hay, grass and spicy hops. Malty taste with grain, hay, grass, toffee, butter and generous amounts of grassy, spicy hops in the finish. Very refreshing and tasty. Nice one.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy golden, rich firm head. Overtly grassy nose with plenty of butter underneath. Really dry and very hoppy, almost manages to be both soft, crisp and deep. Buttery malt drives it towards a marked salty bitter finish. Lovely lager!

Draught at GBBF08. High carbonation. Cloudy amber colour. Big stable creamy off-white head. Citric flavour. Strange bitterness. I wonder if this is intended.
