Bottle at VilleValla Pub. Almost clear deep copper liquid with small to medium off - white head. Aroma of barnyard, clove, pomerance, bread, biscuit and dark fruit. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of funk and spices. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice twist on a Christmas beer.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 5 Oct 2012) Dark red colour with foamy, pink head. Fruity, sourish nose with lots of black-currant and spicy hints of yeast. Fruity tart taste with notes of black-currant, spicy yeast and a dry finish with a dry, fresh tartness. Medium body, dry. Fresh and tasty, dominated by black-currant. Nice one. (7/4/7/4/14=3.6) Rerate: (Bottle, 28 Jan 2022, 5.4%) Reddish orange colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, sourish nose with black-currant, blood orange, raspberries and a touch of clove. Fruity, tart taste with notes of black-currant, blood orange, raspberries, almonds, clove and a dry and tart finish. Light body, dry. Tasty and refreshing, with a rich black-currant character and a fresh acidity. Very nice.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 5 Oct 2012) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of apricots, citrus, spicy yeast and grass. Fruity, spicy taste with citrus, apricots, barnyard, hay and spicy hints of yeast in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Well balanced and fresh. Nice one.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 5 Oct 2012) Golden amber colour with brief, off-white head. Smoky nose with peat, smoke, apricots and Islay whisky. A bit like a peat fire on a fresh spring evening on Islay. Malty, smoky taste with notes of apricots, smoke and spicy hints of wild yeast. Very fresh with a balanced smoke character. The idea of combining smoked malt with brett yeast seamed a bit adventurous at first, but might be quite a brilliant idea. The spicy yeast character balances the smoke and peat quite nicely and gives a certain freshness to the beer. Interesting and very nice.

Malty, spicy taste with grass, hay, dried fruit and spicy hops in the finish. Medium body, with just a touch of sweetness. Solid and well made saison. Promising start from this new brewery. Nice one. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of yeast, barnyard, grapefruit, honey, red apples and spices. Fruity, spicy taste with bread, spices, apricots, barnyard, grapefruit, apples, honey, yeast and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well made, with a rich brett character. Nice one. Same figures for both entries.
