Fast gone whitish head, leaving some lace over veiled yellow beer, ligthly carbonated. Banana, almonds, amandine, rosewater. Bit blossom aroma. Sweetish with a light metallic tang. Again almondy. Warming up, cardboard, getting dull. Bit watery feel, if rather slick at the same time. I'm not over the moon with this. Txs to Stef!

Ayrshire Coastal Walking Mini Break Beer#24. Bought in Ayr the town. Hoppy, feeling quite strong but has decent tropical fruity notes verging on sweetened. A little too carbonated in texture.

Thanks to Silke. She didn’t realize this was so old when she bought it. Black with a creamy, beige head. Charred grains, chocolate, oak, vanilla. Taste is roasted bitter with sweet, fudge undertones. Long charred bitter finish with the whisky finally making itself felt—in a restrained manner. Body to the full side of medium, mild carbonation. Well balanced, smooth sipper. Time has been kind to this one. Excellent.

Keg at Koelschip Yard, Glasgow. Pours deep brown to black with a thin beige head. Aromas are nutty, prunes, raisins, boozy chocolate. Taste is rum'n'raisin, woody booze. Chewy finish.

Sesongstart på Mi2 Cardinal, hvor vi alle stilte med topptrimmet lever og tilsvarende pågangsmot. Brunsvart med fint skum som varer lenge. Nydelig anslag, og Johan synes at den er NESTEN like god som en av sine egne! Avrundet, myk og fyldig med kaffe og chokolader, Mildt humlet, en klassestout uten dikkedarer. 0,33 bx.

Quite a nice drop. Malty but not overly sweet. Mellow dark berries and overarching red wine accents. A little funk maybe. Low bitterness, touches of earth. Minimal boozy kick. Really drinkable.

On the fifth day of Christmas... 0,75l bottle from the brewery that I had kept for quite a while. Dark brown pour with stbale cream head. Aromas of oak, orange (peel), candied orange, bourbon, vanilla, cream. Taste is bourbon, vanilla, candied orange, cream/milk, chocolate, even a hint of cherries. Warm boozy finish. Should go well with desserts.

500ml bottle, rare Kernel collab beer. Pours a deep reddy copper with a beige head. Aroma of red wine, oak, dried fruits. Taste prominently features the red wine barrels, oaky, dried fruits, leather, tangy vinous notes, semi sweet. Medium bodied. Relatively easy drinking for a "barleywine" under 8%.
Great beer, would never have guessed it was an Altbier, but to be fair it's not a style I'm at all familiar with.
