The brewing is done on a small scale and in an artisanal way, using as many organic raw materials as possible. In the beginning, around 150 litres were brewed at a time, since 2021 300 litres. The hops are also grown locally as much as possible. The recipe is as traditional as possible, often with a historical (local) link, and all recipes are in the idiosyncratic hand of the brewer. In addition to the regular range, special one-off variations are brewed regularly.

330ml bottle, from trade with RW80 (pretty sure!), many thanks! Pours dark brown, very thin off-white head. Aroma is Christmas pudding, taste continues with good spice and currants. Low carbonation, moderately sweet. Enjoyable.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Joes and Dutchdrebus. Clear amber color, small to average sized off-white head. Aroma is is a bit weird, like cough syrup. Taste malts, sweetness, honey, tea, bay leaves, a bit medicinal. Decent body and carbonation.

Bottle [from trade with RW80] @ home. Unclear dark orange to red-brown color, full sized fizzy off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly iron, slightly a hint of dark fruits. Taste malts, sweetish, again a hint of dark fruits, brown malts. Flavors are oppressed sort of speak by the way too high fizzy carbonation. Average to medium body, way too high carbonation.

Bottle [from trade with RW80] @ home. Autumn dark orange to reddish color, full sized quickly diminishing beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly grains, lightly caramel, brown candy sugar, lightly floral. Taste malts, brown candy sugar, again floral, caramel and sweet. Medium body, lively, even a bit fizzy carbonation. The carbonation is a bit annoying but otherwise it’s a pretty decent dunkelweizen imo.

Bottle [thanks to RW80 I believe, thanks!] @ home. Opaque brown color, full sized light brown head that lasts for quite some time. Smell and taste dark malts, smoked malts, a hint of peat, malt bitter finish. Decent body, perhaps a bit thin texture, quite soft carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle [from trade with RW80, thanks Robert!] @ home. Opaque red-brown to brown color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, herbs, sweetness, spices, "speculaas". Hmm a bit weird. Not my thing at least. Drinkable I’d say, but quite alcoholic and a bit heavy on the herbs and spices.
