Can.
Huge head.... Had a hard time pouring it.
Nice floral hops, some subtle herbs, and tropical fruit. some rose water notes linger in the finish with a sharp hop bitterness. Lightly yeasty, and fruity, with some nice citrus.

A simple, but well made lager. Nice grainy malts, pale with some nice straw flavors and aromas. Grassy hops, subtle spice. Light bitterness, refreshing. Decent.

Hazy dark orange pour, medium off white head. Huge citrus zest aroma, sweet and sticky, with thick lacing on the glass. Lots of malts, cause the beer is quite sweet, but still very bitter. This is basically i think a ramped up version of the headstock. It tastes like headstock dialed up to 11. Super citrucy, but at the same time sweet and malty. Well balanced, but a big beer, slightly boozy, but still very drinkable.

Quite possibly one of the darkest beers I’ve had in a while. Jet black, medium dark mocha head. The aroma is a slap in the face of spicy bourbon, and earthy, sweet wood, with subtle vanilla and charred brown sugar. As it warms some of the roasty malts come through. There are hard to find amongst the barrel flavours, but they are there. The body is thick, and viscous. The carb is subtle, but not flat. The finish is roasty, quite sweet, with a lot of barrel. This is bordering on a barrel bomb, but it gets better as it warms and the cocoa, and roasty, soy malts come through.

Opaque black pour, big dark brown head. Aroma is very tart, and vinous, with big Red wine notes, along with some strong balsamic vinegar notes with some solid roasty, dark, burnt malts in the background. The mouth feel is very full, and oily, and the carb is medium. The finish is quite roasty, some soy, and burnt coffee, mixed with some subtle vanilla from the barrel.

On tap at Bar Hop.
Hazy golden pour, big white head.
Big yeasty, phenolic wheat aroma. Slight tartness, even a little lactic. Lively carb, thin mouthfeel. Tart finish with a very light funk. It’s a good attempt but i find it a little thin and lacking in the funk department.

750mo bottle from the lcbo. Outstanding aroma of limes, citrus, and touches of honey. The flavor is more citrus, sweet, soft mouthfeel, light bitterness. A delicate beer, big aromas and flavors of citrus, some subtle grass, and a little pine. Quite impressive, great stuff!

750ml wax dipped bottle from the LCBO. Dark hazy brown, small off white head. The aroma smacks of sweet/sour vanilla oak. Reminds me big time of a bbq sauce i made with jack daniels. There are also hints of raisins and plums, and some big sugary malts. Jesus the bourbon barrel just beats the shit out of this beer. Its all over the place. Dipping in and out. The barrel is there, then gone, then back. Subtle spicy notes, lots of fruit, but the spicy, sour, sweet bourbon barrel oaky vanilla just takes over everything. The alcohol is really well hidden though, and the body is a little thiner than i expected. Interesting to say the least,

sticky sweet aroma with some spice (cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon) and some sweet butterscotch. Not sure the sweetness goes well with this quite pungent spiciness. I found the flavor and finish to be cloying, and the spices were overpowering. The oak was next to impossible to find. I think if the spices were dialed back the oak might come thourgh, and this would be a better beer.

Cask days 2012. Vinegar nose, balsamic, some fruit, apples, pears. A little campfire, and soy are in the aroma also. Acidic mouthfeel, a little sour, with a dry vinegary finish, with light smoke. Odd.....

Bottle at the Sudbury beerfest.
Pours a cloudy yellow, with a large fluffy white head. Great, tart, grassy, citric aroma. Very lively carb, and a active mouth feel. Medium bitterness, slight pepperiness, fresh cut grass, and big acidic, citric finish.
