Draught Yellow head, small, over dark brown beer with amber highlights. (Too) sharp-spicy nose, and the famous 4-vinyl guaiacol: bubblegum, cloves; treated wood, more fruity esters. Not very Belgian, BTW. Medium to well-bodied; very slick-oily, rather than full bodied. Sorry guys, to me this is more a Dunkel Weizenbock, than something powerful Belgian.

Mossy coloured, dense head; dark amber-brown beer. Caramel, toffee with a lot of C-hops, and some bananaester. Chocolate, roasted and bits of hopbitterness, some background sweetness, caramelly. Very well-bodied, slick. Not uninteresting but I’ve had better BW’s; maybe lacking a bit of complexity.

Draught Little rim on orange-metallic looking beer. Little nose, orange marmalade, spices, estery. Spicy, bitterness that is half-spicy, half hoppy. Again high temperatures? A tad lactic (not sour, more like coffee-milk). Medium bodied, but absolutely not empty, on the verge of astringent. OK, but not my favourite. I wonder what a "Belgian IPA" is supposed to be?

Draught Huge, mango-yellow, dense head over slightly hazy pale amber beer. Fresh C-hops, orange rind, orange cake. Taste differs seriously with a very cake, pastry-like taste, seriously diminishing the hops, in a balancing way. Some oxydation apparent. Well-bodied, viscous and nearly pappy, bit sticky. Good one, but it ought not to get oxydized so fast.

Draught Medium, dense yellowish head, over deep-golden beer. There is a strange, off-aroma in the nose. Some speak of garlic, I think of insectoid. And some hops, of course, the cat-piss (valerian) ones. The Summit - or the Nugget?. In the taste, I get the garlic clearly myself. Something wrong there, and it destroys all the fun. Astringent MF, going with the taste. Ouch - misser for this sample.

Draught Foxy-amber beer with a huge yellow head. USA C-hops, lemon and passion fruit. Bit metallic in the taste, but C-hops balanced by some caramelly malts; again quite fruity. Medium bodied, bit (hop?)oily, ends burning. Good IPA, ripened, which seems a problem in this brewery (see Saison,...).

Draught Hazy amber beer with mossy shine under a small yellow ring. C-hops, rainwater nose; bit of a dark candi sugar aroma? Bitter with a chocolate impression, greenery, dark leaves. A bit light in MF, slightly slick. Good, but discreet red ale.

Draught. The sample I had at the brewery was called " SUNSET Saison". If this is a different one, a Ca. admin ought to shift this to a new entry Good, very dense white head, fed by good carbonation in golden beer. Weird, part spicy, part mashtemperature-on-the-ramp aroma; bit fruity-yeasty. Same impression: yeast-fruity, and to "hot". Maybe a tad of wheat? Bit aggressive MF, carbonation imposing. Temperature control, please. Saison is not cooked in the fermenters, at least not in Belgium.

Draught Amber clear beer with small, off-white head. Flowery, delicate but outspoken dry hopse, dried roses, sultana’s. Un-be-lie-va-bly flowery, grapey, super-aromatic hops taste, amongst the most delicate and powerful ever tasted - superb. Slightly burning MF, medium bodied, fiery, slick. One of the best IPA’s I’ve ever had, full stop.

Sample at Oggi’s Mission Valley location (originally rated 4/12, mistaken for an Oggi’s beer). This beer pours a mostly clear yellow-gold color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes slowly. Thin rings of lacing on the glass. Citrus and hops aroma with a hint of spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops and spice, plus some grapefruit. Very little malt is present for balance. The finish is slightly astringent hops and citrus with a lingering hops aftertaste. Above average, and would be much better if it were more balanced.
