Part of Septem’s Hobby Series, i.e. collaboration between the brewery and the winner of an annual home brewing competition. Bottle@ home on New Year’s Day, paired with pasta and spicy meat sauce. Pours clear orange, with thin fizzy diminishing off-white head. Almost no lacing, medium thin body, dry finish, heavy bitter aftertaste. Thin aromas of citrus, grapefruit, orange, and similar tastes on the tongue. Caramel malts, maybe some hints of honey and tropical fruits, tints of lemon and citrus zest. Glad to see that home brewing starts to spread in Greece. Good try!

50cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of sharp citrus fruits, some tropical fruits, very nice, bright and fresh. Flavour is light sweet, light malty, fruity, lots of juicy citrus, lemon, grapefruit, tropical fruits, firm dry bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Tasty.

500ml bottle, from trade with Rouhlas. Many thanks! Pours hazy gold, white head. Aroma is malt and light caramel. Taste is bitter with sweet malt and low Galaxy presence. Ok.

Bottle at home, 13th December 15. Pours clear, aroma of floral hops, some pine and citrus bitterness. Taste is sweet and bitter, good malt balance, bitter linger, slight hop tingle. Very nice IPA

330ml bottle, from trade with Rouhlas. Many thanks! Pours deep brown, nice tan head. Chocolatey aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, lightly viscous, chocolate, light dark fruits. Not a massive amount going on, but still enjoyable.

Bottle at De Wildeman, 10th December 15. Best before 30th November 15, so slightly past it’s best. Pours dark amber, aroma is citrus marmalade, pine syrup. Taste is sweet, some caramel, faded hops, rich bitter orange, burnt candy. Pretty tasty and my first Greek DIPA

Bottle at the second 42nd Floor tasting - Thanks Dan! It pours clear orange-amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is quite fresh, peachy, stewed nectarine, brown bread, toffee and a sprinkling of pepper. The taste is bitter-sweet, oily, stewed orange, toffee, boosty alcohol, nectarine with a dry, warming finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice peachy nectarine vibe throughout. Perhaps not the most refined DIPA out there, but enjoyable nonetheless.
