(bottle, a present from pivnizub – thanks !) Clear copper colour with a medium sized foamy beige head. Slightly woody, subtle sweet beechwood smoke aroma. Light sweet flavour, soft smoked malty taste, light to medium body, smooth carbonated mouthfeel; medium dry, malty and smoky finish with a light bitter hoppy blend and an aromatic lasting smoky aftertaste. This one has its height on the palate and during the finish.

Cloudy golden color, large off-white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, some citrus. Taste is too sweet for a weizen of my liking, not enough banana and citrus. Thick and sticky.

Swing-top bottle (bought at the brewery): Golden coloured, small head, quickly diminishing; faint sweet-malty nose, toasted bread, too combined with a mixture of alcohol and bitterness; bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, low carbonation; only a bit of sweetness in the mainly bitter, dry malty finish. A pleasant dry franconian Bock

Bei einem als Winterbier gekennzeichnetem Bier erwarte ich irgendwie einen etwas höheren Alkoholgehalt. Mit 5,2% schwebt dieses Weizen im normalen Rahmen. Vom fruchtigen Antrunk des CO2 armen Bieres baut sich ein säuerliches Aroma auf, das sich zusammen mit einem würzigen Touch im Mittelteil entlädt. Im Abgang etwas hopfig-herb, der einzige Teil des Bieres, der mir wirklich Freude bereitet. Test vom 6.4.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 13,6,6,8,9,7 - 7,55

Mild rauchiger Antrunk mit wenig Herbe. Die Rauchigkeit wird nicht stärker sondern verharrt auf seinem milden, gerade noch erkennbarem niveau. Süffig, mild, im Abgang wird die rauchige komponente durch eine aufkommende Süße in den Vordergrund gestellt. 7/8/8/9//8

An unclear orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty combined with notes of banana, while the flavor is plainly sweet wheaty.

Das Bier riecht malzig-würzig aber auch alkoholisch. Zu dem würzigen Aroma im Antrunk gesellt sich im Mittelteil noch eine dezente Süße und ein kräftiges malziges Aroma. Im Nachgeschmack ist es zwar noch leicht röstmalzern, sonst aber extrem wässrig und nicht gelungen. Ansonsten ist das Bier recht süffig und nicht zu verachten, was sich der Braumeister bei dem Nachgeschmack gedacht hat steht allerdings in den Sternen. Der Geruch ist fruchtig-säuerlich, der Antrunk lasch fruchtig, erinnert zusammen mit dem langweiligen Mittelteil eher an Spülwasser oder gepantschten Tee. Cloudy yellow, heavy carbonation, fluffy lacing white head. Light citric nose. Yeasty bready base, light caramel, cornbread. Medium body. Sweet aftertaste.

Rerate from tap at Hopdogs birthday. Crunchy pilsnerish,
Grassy, dry, moreish.
Bottle
Light green-golden, low visible carbonation, big whipped cream head. Quite aromatic hop and subtly buttery yeast aroma. Blast of herbal and grassy bittering hops on top of a layer of slightly fruity straw malt. Carried away by dry grassy bitterness again far into the aftertaste. Sparkly fresh mouthfeel.
